From a BIF from @WesMantooth
Incredible PB/Choc/Coffee stout.
I'd blame it on Imgur, but that ain't gonna fly.
Founders Underground Mountain...almost tops KBS!
Yeah I finally got my hands on this after bitching to everyone about it's local unavailability. Since it's still unseasonably hot I was wondering about the wisdom of trying it before cooler weather ensued but it's remarkably light and refreshing while still packing some heft.
I'm a fan.
One of the best beers I've ever had, Woodgrain Four Roses Bourbon BA Confectioner Stout, 14.2% ABV. Very close in flavor to BCBS Proprietor's 2018. Wow, these guys nailed this one. After I finished the first growlette, I went and got two more.
That is a great looking glass. Where might I find one?
Founder's Dirty Bastard is always a shocking adventure.
(Plan B: Alaska's Icy Bay IPA, polar opposite of 'WOW', yet deserves more attention ...)
You might find one at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store, if you're as lucky as I was.
New Oberfalz Helles... what a clean crisp beer... definitely a desert island beer....
tied as two best this year!
Sorry just realized the FW was from 2017. But I’m all fairness I had it this year.
Cape May - Captain May IPA
Over the last few years, I've tasted a lot of top-notch beers from Cape May. This is my favorite.. so far.
Speciation The Laurentian Series: Lake Superior.
Blew me away....no fruit but tasted intensely of peach with a lot of vanilla from the barrel and just the right level of tart. A beautiful wild ale
might be my favorite of the year, never in my wildest dreams did i think i’d love a tequila barrel aged beer
