Second Fiddle from Fiddlehead Brewing. Blew. My. Mind.
DFH 120 Minute IPA. Never had it before last week and I've seen a lot of mixed reviews so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm not sure if some people were turned off the price or what, but it just blew me away. Truly a world-class beer at any price.
I've had Zombie Dust both a couple weeks old and a couple months old. The first time was actually the latter and I still thought it was amazing, but pseudo Sue just hit another level for me. It's now an all-time favorite.
Crooked Stave's Vieille.
HopGeek by Free Will Brewing wowed this girl.
Gotta chime in with these two, both courtesy of @niner99...
Dark Horse's BBA Plead the 5th and Bell's Black Note Stout
As bourbon barrel stouts go, these are top of the class... stunning...
3/10/15 batchs of Night Shift Whirlpool and Morph. Had a couple other batches, but this one was the best of them.
Sounds boring but Sierra Nevada Beer Camp 2015...I just thought it really was such a smooth sessionable beer...I mean, it's not overly complex or going to win any awards, but I was just impressed for some reason...
La Luna Rossa by Birrificio Del Ducato. My first 5/5 sour. It's phenomenal.
Fatheads IBUsive. It's better than head hunter and pretty damn close to the best beer Fatheads makes.
Had an Old Stock Cellar Reserve with a friend last night. It was amazing.
Mikkeller Koppi Coffee IPA. Blew my socks off right into my blown back hair. I really hope this type of IPA's take off. Exceptionally enjoyable.
With not many offerings on the market ( at least not in New Tax...I mean New York), I've been trying to dial in a quaffable coffee IPA on my system.
Victory at Sea. Easily the best "porter" I've had.
Prairie Apple Brandy Noir and Lone Pint Yellow Rose. Both amazing beers.
My most amazing WOW moments with beers have so far been:
Gouden Carolus Cuvee Van de Kaiser Blauw, Old Rasputin, Hop Juju, and dammit, I LOVE Lagunitas Sucks.
By far the biggest let down EVER has, so far, been Hopslam.
Mikkeller Alive! Blew my socks right off. Such a crushable beer.
Barrel Aged Legion by Community brewery is a wow moment everytime I'm lucky enough for my lips to come in contact with it. I highly recommend pairing with Oreos lol.
Revolution Blue Gene was an experience. No medicinal blueberry flavor!
Stevens Point Brewery- JP's Casper White Stout.
The first beer I ever took a sip and said holy shit. I went back to the store the next day to stock up.
Drank a Other half brewing- SuperFun! IPA last night, holy shit was it good and easy to drink. I want a case for summer time!
For me it was Shiga Kogen House IPA. I had pretty low expectations of finding good craft beer in Japan and this one was really solid. I'd order it at home in San Diego if I found it on tap there.
My latest WOW! beer was Pump[KY]n because I thought I grabbed, opened, poured, and sipped the Uncle Jacob's that was in my fridge. Needless to say I was very wowed. And mad. Then happy.
I tried last week Crunkle Sam from Clown Shoes, it was sooooo god. My first barley wine and now i find other beers "simple". It may take me a few days to go back.
Indeed Rum King
Anything 18th Street has been wowing me! Only been out a little over a year, bottling & canning already, and they still have not bottled any of their barrel aged stuff. Just my opinion living close to both....18th street is better than FFF.
Witch's Hat Bourbon Barrel DragonTrax Imperial Stout.
I had a brandy barrel hunahpu at huna day, it was really the only beer there that made me go wow. Wish I had some bottles of it.
Sante Adairius Fruit Punch. o my gawd good. had it along side West Ashley and preferred the Fruit Punch.
Bear Waters Rye. Bearwaters Brewery , Waynesville , NC
Steady Habit--killer new brewery in CT. Hop and a Dream Mosaic (single hop mosaic), Geek Nip (single hop citra), Behold (nelson pale ale), and their standard bearer IPA, Our Daily Bread, are all fantastic!
Almanac valley of the heart's delight
Alpine Nelson was pretty amazing too
Weyerbacher Sunday morning.
My god weyerbacher
Sierra Nevada- Bigfoot 2015 American barley wine
Had it earlier today and it was amazing. My first barley wine and definitely won't be the last.
I think I may have had an epiphany, it was that good
Saint Archer - Mosaic IPA
Jester King - Atrial Rubicite
That's easy - the Bon Bon 2X TNT IIPA from SingleCut - I loved it from the moment I opened it and could smell the beer as I tossed the cap intot he trash and I still feel that they'll be the next best thing from this neck of the woods.
Had my first Captain's Daughter last night (trying not to make bad jokes...) and it was fantastic.
New Belgium/Half Acre collab Hop Kitchen Oatmeal IPA. Serious wow. Seriously better than 90+% of IPAs I've had in the last few years.
