Lagunitas - Born Yesterday was a very nice treat
Lagunitas Born Yesterday was incredible, and I can't wait to crack my first Founder's Harvest to compare.
Also Founder's Backwoods Bastard. Oh, man, that is some good barrel-aged amazingess.
Green flash brewing's Hop Head Red
Expected Born Yesterday to be good, but it was the growler of Hoppy Birthday I picked up at the same time that made me say, "Wow!"
Drinking it now - Funky Buddha Last Snow Porter
Fat heads head hunter continually amazes me. If I don't drink it for a while then pick some up im blown away.
Two that come to mind, although "WOW!" might be a tad strong, are GF/Alpine Nelson and damn close to wow in lowercase: Born Yesterday.
Hill Farmstead Edward on tap in Burlington, VT.
Prairie Vanilla Noir
Been on a porter kick lately, both HF Everett and Founders Porter are excellent
Been on the same kick, Anchor Porter is the standout for me.
Calm Before the Storm made me say, "Wow". A yellow beer that tastes of coffee, I was impressed.
Avery Raspberry Sour and Anderson Valley Briney Melon Gose
boulevard collaboration #5 with cigar city 'tropical pale ale" best pale ale I've had since I tried my first pseudo Sue two years ago.... Wow!
I had a 2014 Abyss on draft when I was in Austin a few days ago. It was my first time trying The Abyss, was SOOOO good.
Alpine - Duet. WOW!
Founders Backwoods Bastard! Delicious!!!
Firestone Union jack
Evil twin Lil b
Dark penance by founders. Sorry Stone, but this took the place of ssr. Best black ipa to me.
And Stone sorry not sorry (but I expected the wow) most Stone ipa releases wow me
Other Half We Been Out Here In Orbit. A stand out Imperial Stout in a world where there's too many mediocre Impys.
And I know I'll get killed for this one...
Dogfish Head Higher Math. At 17% a sipper for sure, yet the port like flavors they were able to develop made it go down way too easy.
Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA. Although many BA members had it before now I had not and it went beyond my expectations.
I found Bruery Filmishmish to be really excellent
Phantom Carriage Dolores. Amazing brew.
Finally had 1st Heady and Focal while in VT recently. Both WOWs for me. Even with all the hype around them, still wow beers for me.
Had a Death By Coconut the other day it was awesome
and I usually hate anything coconut
I agree Death by Coconut was fantastic, also had Backwoods Bastard which was great as well!
Yeah, Lagunitas Born Yesterday. Nose of the Year.
Just took a CO trip and was wowed by numerous beers I had there. Top 3 were:
Crooked Stave Nightmare On Brett
Snowbank S'mores Stout
Odell Russian Pirate
Heavy Seas Loose Cannon IPA.
For you IPA lovers this is an outstanding IPA not sure how to describe it except it is the most delicious IPA I have ever had and at 7.25% to boot. Simply amazing stuff.
Had this today, very tasty, was a little apprehensive about pomegranates in a Belgian strong pale ale.
Big Bad Baptist was a decadent treat that left me wishing I had brought home more than 1 bottle.
Trillium Artaic and Prairie/Omnipollo Omniprairie
Just had The Bruery/Jester King Collab Imperial Cabinet and holy wow! Huge Vanilla up front and in the nose, then citrus and spice and a twist of sour on the back end. Seriously, one of the most interesting beers I've had in a long time! Extremely unique. I've never had anything quite like it. I want more, please somebody offer me one for trade!!
I just had No Rules from Perrin...Wow...
2011 Kate the Great from Portsmouth I had Monday was unbelievable, but the 2014 Barrel Aged Sump from Perennial I had last weekend was the best beer I ever had. I also had the new Goose Island Rare on Monday which was a very close third. It was a good week!
Just drank a Mastermind from fiddlehead. Wow.
Toppling goliath sosus and hopsmack are nothing short of perfection
Bottle Logic Passionate Dragon
Founders KBS, had it for the first time last week and I need more lol
Sierra Nevada's Celebration. Had it for the first time a few days ago and was totally blown away. Can't believe it took me so long to come to such an amazing beer. Looking forward to more in the very near future.
As of yesterday it's Death by Coconut. Exactly as advertised.
