I will gladly send some Founders to BC for a few beers I'm after on the Canada Top 50 (don't worry, they're the easier ones to acquire). :D

My brother lives in Trenton, do they get anything decent there? I can get my sis, but she doesn't give a shit about beer so I may miss out when it arrives unless I am paying attention.

I have a $50 LCBO gift card to burn that I won at a social in Kenora :p

That Founders is a LCBO feature so will only be available at 25-30 stores or so.

Everything else should be available at most stores.

Rochefort 10, Samuel Adams Barrel Collection and lots of Founders even if I must travel.

Aww man, not again. I mean I love Samuel Smith, but I've gotten this same taster pack for the last 3 years. I would kill for them to do a pack with the Yorkshire Stingo, the Taddy Porter and one of the other non-oatmeal stouts.

  20. TheHammer

TheHammer Feb 15, 2009 Ontario (Canada)

Anyways, the Wychwood pack could be good if it's King Goblin, Fiddler's Elbow and a couple decent obscure offerings. The Belhaven pack might be good too.

pretty certain i'm going to be buying 10 of these to cellar.
guulden drakk 3000 will be worth trying, but i don't expect much.
Rochforte will be a bulk purchase. at that price, i'll grab a 24 and let it ride for 1-2 years.

the dark Founders beer will probably also be bulk purchased and sat on.

there's nothing, though, that i'd buy to try. everything is for hoarding, and that's thanks to the LCBO's stupid listing policy. i'd rather not fork out $100 on Rochforte because it may or may not remain a regular listing.

otherwise, those gift boxes are so fucking lame already. i want to stand at the LCBO and punch the idiots who buy the Rickards Holiday Mixer. they'll deserve it. oh, and did the LCBO finally smarten up and not bring in those disgusting Scottish gift packs with the beer made from kelp and other horrible things?

guess understanding sarcasm isn't your finest strength. but anyways...
and my comment's more out of frustration on shelf space being dedicated to really, really lame holiday gift boxes. guess if we only had McDonalds, i'd be buying their burger and stating it's the best.

Bulk for me will be Backwoods bastard if we get any up here. Otherwise I have so much beer ordered from Oregon I'll be passing on these out of necessity.

I like gift packs because its a way the craft beer world is getting people to try new beers. Its like a gateway, gateway. Its one of the first triggers for getting me into craft beer... I remember a Samuel Smith gift pack that had an imperial stout in it that blew me away back when I didnt think I liked the stuff. Good for them, but yeah, bad for us old crows.

Belhaven and Innes&Gunn are the antithesis of the beer revolution Scotland is presently enjoying. If I was any of you I wouldn't bother with them unless you enjoy the taste of disappointment.

Ottawa always gets lots of beers as part of the brewers features. (nogne, renaissance, fullers etc)

don't see why we wouldn't get all of these founders beers. Just sucks that we will have to wait a few weeks longer than the toronto people will

That sucks, I get Hobgoblin, it's the flagship beer, they want people to drink it and it's always present in the market. However Wychcraft pales in comparison to Fiddler's Elbow and the other two just don't really interest me.

A little late to the party but maybe someone in T.O can help me out. I've seen plenty of the Christmas gift packs floating around my local LCBO's, but still waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the Founders release. Is it a strictly GTA , or do you think it will make its way north? Has anyone got there hands on any yet, and if not, when's the release?
