    Noticed this on instagram today:

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CSPcuh7r9Dc/

In the comments on the instagram post Katie Leinenkugel commented that it is similar to the 150th Anniversary lager these two breweries collaborated on a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed that one and will be looking forward to this one.

@FBarber -- the Instagram link is a dead end. Is there any info on the new collab anywhere else?

Looks like nothing at the Leinie's website. My brother missed the original and wants to find the new one, if possible.

Ugh, apparently you have to be logged in and verify that you are 21 or older to view their page.
Not sure - neither the instagram post nor the mybeerbuzz post listed a release date.

There are recent reviews on another site, so I'm guessing it's out... somewhere.

Maybe Wisco only? My brother lives on the state line, so he's on the hunt.

Reading the comments in the Instagram lead it sounds like the beer is cans and draft, and should be able to be found now or soon in Wisconsin. If that's a hint that it is WI only, that's your choice, but that's my guess.

So is this strictly an amber lager or something like an oktoberfest?

If it follows the same recipe as the previous collab, I found it to be very Vienna-like.

@Genuine Katie Leinenkugel said it was very similar to the 150th Anniversary beer and I'd agree with @steveh - very reminiscent of a Vienna.

All we can do is ask, when talking to brewers in the past I've found them to be very forthcoming or very not.

Untappd. I guess I can say it because BA is affiliated now.

It's an easy google to find the reviews and there are quite a few. I doubt all the distros got together and flooded Untappd, but who knows?

Dude, don't go out of your way if you're uncomfortable to talk to the staff, it was just a suggestion.

And it looks like a few of the reviews were posted from the Leinie's Lodge right in the Falls.

Please read the dates. There is one recent review of an old beer -- which I knew you'd laser in on.

Mar 5, Feb 27, Aug 6 -- but really, don't bother engaging in conversation with the brewery staff, it's obvious you don't want to communicate and I don't want to push you -- especially anymore here on BA.

Enjoy your trip to Wisconsin, don't forget your GPS.

With over 550 years of brewing experience combined, Leinenkugel’s Collaboration Lager is a blend of German tradition and American ingenuity. Brewed in partnership with Hofbräu München and in the spirit of Reinheitsgebot, this German-style amber lager incorporates imported German malts with unique American hops to create a beer that is flavorful, balanced, and refreshing.

    My review:
12oz cans best by DEC0621 batch code A5000010855
Look: orange tinted amber body, but more of a transparent dark gold when held to the light. Nice head: fine, tall, slightly off white and hangs on for a while leaving plenty of lacing.
Smell: smells good, bread, sweet malt. but as it warms you get more floral/herbal hops. the aroma is not strong.
Taste: follows the nose, plus a little biscuit and caramel. Just slightly sweet over all, but does have bitter elements especially on the finish. Rather smooth drinking. Doesn't have hardly any bite to it. Balanced beer with hops and malt plus bitter/sweet.
Feel: Solid it's not thin or thick. seems to have rather low carbonation shorty after the initial pour.

It has that Leinenkugel flavor. I taste similarities to Northwoods Amber but with much different hops.
I like it, 3.91/5 overall. I bought it in WI and I didn't have to drive to "Chip" to get it.

Looks like the local Binny's has it... in 12s.

Funny thing is, Leinie's Okto is usually on of the first I see every season, and I think I've seen it at one spot so far this year.

Just a weird year for distribution.

Yea Binnys only got the 12-packs, but at $13.99, its a pretty good deal.

Also they had the oktoberfest as well. They must be showing up together.

Good review. I am almost done with my 12 pack, might buy another 12er but I have too much beer on hand now so..? The more I drink it the more I like it. After having more cans I am picking up just a little pine note in the hops as well.
