Leipziger Gose Explodes. 3 bottles in less than a month.

Has anyone had any problems with the 12oz bottles??

 

We had a bottle explode at the bottle shop I work at a few months ago.

Skip ahead to 8:00 (or 10:00 if you're impatient).

 

Must be a recent bad batch of bottles that have a glass failure, I haven't heard of these exploding until recently.

 

Could it be that it's summer and most places I go this is sitting on a shelf rather than a fridge getting hot? Not sure if any of you work at a Total Wine but that's where I always see this beer and it's always on their shelves rather than refrigerated.

 

I highly doubt it.

 

LOL just randomly came cross this. Within the last 3-4 weeks all our large format leipziger gose have starting exploding too.

I assumed it was a glass defect in that weirdly shaped bottle combined with some aggressive secondary fermentation going on.

 

As I always say: Easy Come, Easy Gose...
