Personal house keeping. I'm out on: Colts9016, bret27, itracy63, samkuhgee, basaywhat, Jackflaps, and (probably) FrankenMiller Still in on: Adrock314, Kmitch, adh2315, and (maybe) FrankenMiller. Shit, I've got the bastard cornered!
Both my boxes left the usps distribution center in: WARRENDALE PA around midnight. Somebody may be getting a porch plop tomorrow. (Say what you want about usps but I literally dropped these off early Saturday morning on the west coast of California).
Here's what I have to say about USPS: they do a generally great job, at an extremely fair price. Wanna send your Granny, on the other side of the continent, a birthday card? Card gonna cost ya $5. Postage?, what a whole 60 pennies these days? Ya wanna send some stranger from the internet a box of bottles of beer, the same distance, and have it get there in 2-4 days? That'll be 22 whole dollas! If one of those bottles should leak or break? They'll still get it to your granny.
Hint 1: I am not shipping east Hint 2: My target has logged more trades on BA than I have Hint 3: My target lives nearer to their state capital than I do (I live in Chicago)

Hint #1 - I am, as usual, shipping East and South. #2 - The average November low temperature in my targets town is lower than in mine. #3 - My targets state touches a large body of water. #4 - According to Bing maps, if going by road, my box would pass through at least 5, but less than 11 states to get to my target. #5 - If your state is not in the top 41 states by area, you are not my target. #6 - The highest elevation in my targets town is about 100 feet higher than Sehome Hill in my city. #7 - NASCAR has held races of its most prominent series in my targets state. #8 - Several Notable People are from my targets city. #9 - Someone named Pierce plays a role in my targets life. #10 - The body of water mentioned in #3 is not salt water.
I can confirm that they are not. Thanks, @bret27! Looking forward to getting into these. Picture goes up when all the packages are here...
Hint #1: Shipping west Hint #2: Crossing time zones Hint #3: Once the box is done going west, it will go north Hint #4: My target lives in the footprint of the Big Sky Conference Hint #5: My target's state is in the top five by percentage of land owned by federal agencies

Ah damn, I didn't think that last one would give it away so quick. Well, I hope you're ready for some hops and stouts!
Got my box from @basaywhat today. Massive porch damage. it was a great haul that definitely pushed 18+#. Glad to have tried a bif.
Hint--- My target lives in a state that has at least 1 team ranked in this weeks AP College Football Poll.

I haven’t shipped beer in a long time, do you still have to lie to use USPS? I know UPS will ship alcohol, but are they still more expensive than the postal service?
To the best of my knowledge you have to lie to everyone. Can't speak to cost, but I always use UPS because if I am somehow found out, it's at worst a violation of their terms of service, as opposed to an actual crime if you go through USPS (although I've also heard plenty of stories of usps delivering packages with broken bottles that reek of beer)
The whole family portrait. Between this and what I got for sending out, I'm good for however long a COVID lockdown Pennsylvania can throw at me. Thanks again, @bret27! The coozie was a much more economical choice for swag, space-wise.
My town's main PO has a self-serve kiosk. I pack up the beer, go in about 8pm, push no when the machine asks if there's explosives and such, print the label, and out I go. I believe you can also print labels at home, and the Flat Rate boxes are free. I sent a box Fedex ground back in the spring to Delaware. from Bellingham, it was $125. I could have shipped more beer, for less money, and got it there faster by using multiple USPS boxes. So, that's what I did in the most recent NBS BIF. Sent my target 5 boxes total, less than $90 total.
The City of Subdued Excitement is, technically, on the coast of the Salish Sea: Gonna do me a heckin' gamble here. I'm calling you out! Are you my sender?
The USPS kiosk is what I used to do, just wondered if anything had changed, apparently I will continue to use it.
