I'm getting pretty stoked for some of these to start hitting soon so I thought maybe we could discuss our favorites? I really want to make sure I don't miss any that I don't know about. Here are the ones I have enjoyed in the last several years:

Port High Tide - this is my favorite
Great Divide Fresh Hop - gotta buy at least one annually
Deschutes Hop Trip - so glad they made it into sixers
Deschutes Fresh Hop Mirror Pond - quite a surprise, so much better than the regular mirror pond
New Belgium Fresh Hop IPA - this was another surprise, almost west coast style
Ska Hoperation Ivy - meh, this one I was not impressed by
Bridgeport Hop Harvest - not bad

I'm sure I am forgetting some so please chime in with your thoughts. Cheers!

Thought I just read somewhere that Tommyknocker was brewing a wet hop brew too. I really enjoy Hop Trip! Will have to try the Port High Tide, not sure I've had that one, but they know IPAs!

Haven't yet tried any fresh hop beers as I only made the plunge to bombers on a more regular basis over the past year. Going to rectify that this year and I have been waiting patiently for the Deschutes offerings in particular. Hearing one of those will be available in six pack form just made my day.

I did get to try an Odell's Whopper, wet hopped india pale ale, the other month when it was on tap at their tap room. Thought that was delicious.

Looking forward to Lefthand Warrior. Pretty sure they didn't make it last year. But it's pretty hard to beat Hop Trip in six packs.

Last year Crooked Stave did Fertile Soil, I think they are planning on doing it again, I really liked it.

I still regret never pulling the trigger on that one.

At the time, I didn't want to spend the money for it. Now that seems inconsequential.

Not sure what Mountain Standard has to do with this topic, but I'm excited! Love that beer!

I remember reading last year that part of the whole "local" shtick of Mountain Standard was that it was wet hopped, but that it wasn't marketed as a fresh hop beer explicitly. Can anyone confirm this? Either way, I think about it in the same vein as the fresh hop beers, regardless.

I don't think it is wet hopped just because it's release is about 3 months+ long. But if I'm wrong, you can buy me a beer

Really? I thought last year it was just one big release that sat on shelves for awhile at some places. I know any of it that I had past October last year was a disaster.

Yes! We haven't announced it yet but you'll see a few fresh hop kegs running around town as GABF nears. I'll post some of the details as soon as I find out.

While they're not in bottles, Copper Kettle has some of theirs left and the Wynkoop Belgerado went on tap last week. I think Dad & Dudes has one on the way, too.

    Hey BA's,

We will be releasing a Fresh Hop version of our First Cast IPA to the Front Range. We took our typical hopping on our IPA and added fresh chinook hops from Colorado as a hop back and then dry hopped with Colroado Cascade and Chinook hops on top of our normal dry hopping. It is tasting pretty hoptacular, and is basically a double IPA brewed at 6.5% ABV. Hop fans should enjoy this one.

Should be available late this month and during GABF.

    Cheers.

    The Elevation Team.
