They did have a beer from the second runnings of silhouette called Shadow or something like that, which may or may not have been on nitro.

Shadow Effect, which was not on nitro. That was the second runnings of Silhouette.

Was kicking myself for skipping the BA Nitro but man the regular BA was delicious. This was a great event with great staff so props to Lift Bridge.

Anyone know the exact bottle count on this? Might are numbered in the 400's and 500's

Got to agree with everyone else on the nitro not being as good. Just for shits and giggles, I opened a bottle of BCBS last night to see how it compared to the BA Silhouette. I thought that the BCBS was a little boozier, but they were damn close. Given that the Silhouette was draft and the BCBS ('09) was bottle, I think that I liked the Silhouette better. Should be interesting to see how it is after a year if I can keep from drinking it.

Pretty sure it was on nitro.

Maybe they ran out, or switched it to nitro later? I recall only seeing BA Silhouette on nitro. In any case, not the topic of this thread

My "highest" bottle number is 556...

Regular Silhouette will be, but the BA version is long gone, other than anything they saved for special events/festivals/etc.

Yup, easily as good as any other top flight BA stout, including BCBS. One of the awesome things about the popularity and hype of BCBS is the proliferation of BA stouts from other breweries.

Possibly the best barrel aged beer on the planet. In all seriousness this brewery is known for Farm Girl but their best work might be their barrel ageing program. IMO, this brewery deserves better relations with the average beer advocate poster. Nice job Lift Bridge on a job well done. I for one love Shaddow Effect Nirto 4.5 ABV. Also, I saw everybody from Toppling Goliath at the brewery trying stuff from the tank. I asked what they were drinking and they said a drinkable double IPA. They said it was killer!!! Doesn't drink like a DIPA. If it's like Hopdish then I am all for it. Love that stuff.

^^^ It was my first time at Liftbridge, great event, and plenty of great beer.

    - Here are a few thoughts on why it might be overlooked -

Beers offered - Farm Girl and HopDish (Beers I frequently see in stores/On Tap), are both great beers, but there are about 10000000000 IPA's out on the market currently. Farm Girl being a Saison, may deter some people (not one of my favorite styles)

Location - Living in Uptown, it would be about a 40 minute drive to LB. Town Hall, Steel Toe, Fulton, Surly and NE Breweries are much closer.

Growler Prices - Anyone know why a growler of Hop Dish or Harvestor is $15, (I really enjoyed harvestor after a few BA Silhouettes) but at that price I decided to pass.

With all that being said, I was very Impressed with the brewery and tap-room. I also will echo others and saying the BA Silhouette deserves to be top tier. Will definitely look for more events like this one

Make sure you get out there for the Irish Coffee Stout party. I think it is late Feb or early March. I would have to agree with you TH, ST, F, Surly are solid breweries and closer to you.

Picked up my bottles tonight and had some on tap. Good stuff, Maynard! And they had Ween on the jukebox. Motherfucking Ween! I could have died a happy man in that taproom.
