Opening a bar and restaurant in Memphis. Not crazy upscale, but higher end bar food and entrees. Relaxed atmosphere, huge sports crowd, so will have the national brands but also want to make sure to carry the great local and state brews. Recommendations for must haves?

There are 4 locals. They all have a nice option for a sports bar.

Wiseacre - Tiny Bomb, Ananda, Gotta get up to get down
High Cotton - ESB, Scottish Ale
Ghost river - Golden Ale (my uncle is a miller lite man and he loves this beer), Riverbank Red
Memphis Made - Lucid, Soulful Ginger

As far as state wide distribution, Yazoo from Nashville is the only one I can think of that has a presence in Memphis.

There are seasonals that each one does. Wiseacres Oktoberfest is particularly good. I haven't had anyone else's though.

The best American Porter in the mid south is Diamond Bear Paradise Porter (Little Rock). Diamond Bear has distribution in the Memphis area.
