    Hardywood is constructing another brewery on the border of Goochland and Henrico counties. Lots of open land there. I wonder if they will grow some of their own ingredients?

    Both AC Golden and Casey Brewing & Blending are made using "99%" Colorado ingredients. It's probably no shock that Troy Casey spearheaded both.

    Sierra Nevada makes a wet hopped beer they label as Estate Ale using locally (Chico, CA) grown hops and barley:

    "Taste fresh-from-the-field flavors with this handmade, homegrown, and completely natural ale. Made with organic wet hops and barley grown at our brewery in Chico, this remarkable ale is the only one of its kind."

    Short's uses local stuff all the time. Bell's Midwest Pale uses local malt as does their Christmas Ale. Abita's "Harvest" line of seasonal beers highlights Louisiana-grown ingredients, and most Michigan wet-hopped beers use hops from in-state. The use of local ingredients by craft breweries becomes more commonplace all the time.

    Maroon and Bold DIPA from Bent Brewstillery, Roseville MN. 100% MN hops and malt.

    Release is this Friday (Dec 4).

    (Never had any of their beers, so this is just fyi....)

    I suppose it depends on your definition of local. There's tons (literally) of barley and hops growing throughout Oregon, Washington, and BC, so theoretically any brewery in the region could brew beer using "local" ingredients. If you want hyper-local, there's a brewery near Eugene called Agrarian that started out as a farm and grows pretty much every ingredient they use other than some of the barley.

    No just the boasting about it. I know it is very common to use wild yeast to ferment beer.
    I don't know why I find it funny. I blame my friends.

    Rogue Farm series uses all Oregon products. Majority of which are all grown by Rogue.

    Tired Hands here in PA constantly use locally sourced ingredients. Peaches, persimmons, grapes, plums, pears, nectarines, wildflower honey, etc.... just to name a few.
