LONG ISLAND: Parabola 2014

I completely missed sucaba, had no idea it wasaround. I really ddon't want to miss parabola.

 

Any word on 2014 showing up?

 

Havent heard anything yet. My beer store says they've heard nothing.

Were in May now so I'd keep a lookout as it should drop this month or early June.

 

I'm starting to have serious doubts that we will see much of it here in LI, if any. I picked up a bottle in Rhode Island last week (and they had been getting it for 2-3 weeks before that in Providence, took longer to get to the southern towns). I find it hard to believe that FW would send cases to RI before NY, especially since FW has been in NY way longer than RI.

 

Same as it was for Merkin. I got 2 bottles via a buddy in RI no problem but barely saw any on shelves in NYC area.

Hope parabola is obtainable this year. Such a chore last year for bottles. But been similar for FW Proprietors stuff lately.

 

fuck it if FW doesnt wanna be here(and sucaba is one of my top 10 fav beers ever) then we dont need them..long island has plenty of good offerings they can kick rocks

 

Yea I find it really ridiculous that RI gets FW first and more abundantly than NY, especially cause their shit sits around for literally MONTHS to YEARS in RI. A store I visit often still has 7 bottles of DBA from 2012 and 2013! If you ask me, no store should be allocated new batches of limited beer if they still have old limited releases sitting on the shelf. Obviously there is not enough demand, while there is excessive demand in NY.

 

Any word on when this will arrival?

Always coming to the rescue. . If only I lived closer. One it these days. Please say you are doing Phish Randal's Island - I hope there is the Phish beer tent this year like similar shows in the past.

 

Thursday night is good for me... lets hope the other guys respond and can do something soon. Plus they have the 10 & 13.

 

A week night is going to be tough for me with work. Also, was looking at a weekend to do this as I could have my wife drop me off and pick me up. I am flexible though, hopefully we can align schedules.

Sounds good, lets chat closer to the show, since we cant drive and park there I was probably gonna just drive to the city and take the bus, then drive back to LI, so maybe a spot in the city...

 

My best day is Sunday but I could swing a weekday.. I too can get a ride so it helps out. Wanna get this going soon.

 

Parabola is starting to turn up in NYC & Upstate, LI should be very soon

 

Good looks. Unfortunately my local distributor said he was only allocated 6 bottles and he owns two stores so has to break them into 3 each. I doubt he is even going to sell them. Last year he kept 2 and gave the rest to his employees. Bummer. This years Parabola is SOOO good.

 

Tons of Parabola in Bay Ridge - but at the inflated price of $25/bottle. Might be able to talk the guy down a bit though. 94th and 3rd avenue beer store. Also has Merkin and Sucaba - same price.

 

you would think those shops on 3rd ave would get it by now with their pricing....would you rather have a 4 pack of BCBS or 1 parabola @ the same px? drop the parabola to a more reasonable px and they would fly off the shelves
