Long Trail Brewing Takes a Hike to Ohio
Vermont brewery teams up with Columbus’ Superior Beverage

(Bridgewater Corners, Vermont) – Beginning at the end of March, Vermont’s leading craft brewery, Long Trail Brewing, will begin shipping beer to Ohio.

Through a partnership with Superior Beverage Group in Columbus, Long Trail’s beers will be available for the first time in Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus.

Entering its first new market since 2012, the Vermont brewery will hit the trail in Ohio with a limited portfolio that includes its flagship altbier, Long Trail Ale, and its highly regarded American IPA, Limbo.

A booming beer scene, renowned local brewers and a recent Rust Belt revitalization make the Buckeye State fertile ground for craft beer.

“This is a great opportunity to grow our brand and be a part of Ohio’s thriving craft scene,” said Bill Zaninelli, vice president of sales at Long Trail. “We did our homework and we are confident that Superior is a great fit for Long Trail.”

Founded in 1989, Long Trail has been a pioneer of the Vermont craft beer landscape for more than 25 years. Their portfolio includes a wide-variety of European-influenced ales including IPAs, pale ales, altbiers and witbiers.

“We are thrilled to start pouring in Ohio,” said Jed Nelson, Long Trail’s marketing director. “Long Trail has been the best-selling craft beer in Vermont for years and we’re excited to share it with our new farthest outpost.”

Look for Long Trail Ale and Limbo IPA on draught beginning in early April, with packaged beer shipping later in the month.
