So, I am traveling up through New England in 2 weeks and wondering if there are any beers up there that I should come home to PA with that are hard to find/brewery only/or great beers. Looking at any and all breweries in Mass, Conn, RI, Maine, NH and VT. Alchemist is on the list already for some Heady!!

Everybody comes to NE . If you look in the NE Regional forum there are about a half-dozen threads to read with suggestions for places to go and things to drink all over the region. Welcome!

As far as Rhode Island goes:

If you can get to Newport Storm on a Friday afternoon you should check it out. They do free brewery tours and everyone that is on the tour gets a couple of free pints (at least this is how it was when I went). Not mind blowing beers, but it's a good time.

This depends on how much traveling you want to do.

The Elm City Brewery in Keene is tasty.
The Harpoon Brewery in Windsor VT is better in my estimation than the one in Boston.
Rock Art Brewery in Stowe VT (almost to Burlington)
Moat Mountain in North Conway NH is one of my favorites (you can even spend the night upstairs)
Milly's Tavern in Manchester NH (if you hit this one, contact me and I'll join you since it is 5 minutes away.
Castle in the Clouds Brewery - this one is so far north in NH I even forgot where it is.
Any of the Beer Works breweries in Mass. The one outside Fenway is probably the most famous.
Watch City Brewery in Waltham MA
The Brewery Exchange in Lowell MA

Some of these are pretty far afield. The suggestions above are all good too.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

    ß!

Poor Abby. Jack and his bros meant well naming the brewery after her.

VT: Hill Farmstead, The Alchemist (for Heady Topper)
CT: New England Brewing Company (get some Gandhi Bot if you can find it, but all of their offerings are great)
