Looking to start a Growler collection

the other night i was on the sierra nevada website and noticed that they have my favorite shaped growler here



was thinking about pulling the trigger on this with some balloon glasses, but haven't just yet. i have this same growler from Hill Farmstead and Russian River. I've seen one from Stone as well. they are great and are fillable at every growler station i've ever been to without issue.

as a collector of many things, growlers take up lots of space though and i don't really recommend starting a collection, but getting a few nice ones is awesome.

Timo, you beat me to it. I was going to suggest a pail or "lantern" style growler. I have one from Selin's Grove and I love the ease of pouring by simply tipping the bottom. Plus, it just looks awesome.

 

Urban Chestnut in St. Louis has really cool growlers they buy from Germany. They sell them on their site for $30. I have one and no way am I parting with it.

My favorite growler is, surprise, my Surly Growler.

 

I love this one from Stone. It's 1L so I find it perfect when I don't want to open a full growler.

 

I have a few like this, 2 from Hill Farmstead and 1 from Bozeman Brewing Company. They are really the only ones I use anymore though I have waaaay too many growlers myself.

 

I have a surly growler I would trade for some cool things I can't get in MN.

The Portland Growler Company has a sprocket one that I feel in love with. A little pricey, but well worth it.

 

Plus my Maui Brewing Co. Hydro flask growler is very handy for traveling.

I've used it a couple of times and haven't had any problem with any leaking issues...guess I'll have to keep my third eye on it.

 

Yeah the price is a bit steep, but I convinced myself that since it was American-made, I was helping with the economic recovery. Guess I'm just a patriot in that respect

 

Is InebriatedJoker the, eh, inebriated joker in that pic?

 

Actually, that was like 7 AM and I think he was mostly sober by that point, we slept after getting our tickets and stuff for the release. He's just a joker, regardless of when he's sober or inebriated.
