Trying it now, solid beer, light barrel but overall good
How's the spice level?
Bulk of my accounts (Central, West and North) will get it Wednesday. It's possible they'll be some out in the market tomorrow. It's limited, so get it when you see it.
2 cases and a few bottles left at d&q when i went at 10pm.
Hope they still have some in the early afternoon tomorrow, Told my homeboy to get himself some ASAP (and some Narwhal)
Not very spicy
Can you still taste the anchos? How about the cinnamon level?
I so want this beer to be even better than the base beer.
Is that even possible aside from sticking it in a Bourbon Barrel?! lol
I just hope I can find more of it later.
D&Q had much more on the shelves, not just the cases sitting on the floor. I was looking around and noticed that when i was there yesterday....looking forward to trying this BBA Luchador for the 1st time...
Wow this was an impressive BBA beer, I'm glad I still have 2 more bombers of this!
Thick and enough bourbon to perfectly blend with the stout. Yummy!
I love chocolate sombrero. I'm a love this even more.
Still haven't cracked mine open yet, Saving it for the weekend.
Sunrise, plenty with apparently no limit. Don't skip on the funky jewbelation either!
I guess I just like bourbon bombs but I didn't get much barrel on it
Just grabbed one at CM Westgate. They had some black crack as well.
Smith Street SPecs had at least ten bottles today when I was there.
So I rolled by Spec's Arbor looking for the Game of Thrones beer and I see a whole case of this... along with... wait for it... Porcine.
I know I'm nitpicking, but Clown Shoes is a serious case where the bottle art completely turns me off. The font somehow reminds of Comic Sans, or a 1st grader's writing. And the bottle art just does nothing for me. That being said I got a luchador de fuego, and some of their beers I've had an interest in.
Get into some lesser known Belgians... it starts looking like they designed the labels in MS Word, lol.
heh. I think I may know a few you're referring to. Totally agree. Never a good indication of quality.
I feel the same way about Russian River. All of their labels have Comic Sans.
I will excuse it for them. Only just barely.
I saw a single bottle at Hubbels in the Woodlands yesterday. I already have a few bottles and was looking for something else so I left it there.
I've never had Clown Shoes' beers before so for my first tastings of it we're sampling Vampire Slayer, 2x Luchadore En Fuegos & a Porcine Unidragon. Started with a bottle of LEF and I'm liking where this is going. Oh, we're also grilling beef fajitas, chicken legs and shrimp to go with it.
and you didnt buy them? you must be on limited funds as of now
This is a damn nice beer. Glad I bought a few.
This stuff is strong but, Damned good.
i still can, but i havent had time to try one of the bottles i bought.
It's better than Black Crack and WBDPP.
...don't make me pick one up.
I'd be doing you a favor if I did,
D&Q still has a good amount of this on the shelves..
So does Spec's DT
And DFW has none.... F+%#
Drinking one at Nobi right now. Oh yeah!
IMO, this beer is better fresh outta the cooler. As it warms the barrel takes over the flavor profile. Would buy a bottle just to let it get some years on it.
I like this better then Black Crack.
Didn't get a chance to have Black Crack but I prefer Chocolate Sombero over Buried Hatchet.
BM me, let's fix that.
