I will be traveling through Madison on Friday afternoon. It has been a few years since I have been here and was wondering where one should stop for great beer? Looking for brewpubs and stores (have been to Great Dane, Ale Asylum). Is Ale Asylum on tap anywhere since there tap room is not open? Thanks for the help!!!

Vintage brewpub might be new since you were last there. I haven't eaten there, but their beer made it a worthwhile stop for me.

Brickhouse BBQ and Rileys is pretty much the best 1 2 punch, get everything all in one stop.

I was there about a month ago and there was tons of good beer on tap at the Old Fashioned.

Brickhouse BBQ gets a +1 from me- Captial Brewery taproom was also fun when I was up there last month.

One Barrel Brewing Co. is a new nanobrewery on the near east side with a fantastic lineup of their own beers and other local crafts. House of Brews is another new(ish) operation off of Stoughton Rd. that has a small tasting room.
