Good. One less hacky thing for Brewers to do.

what you call "hacky" others call innovation.

No reason to combine everything. If you want to get high while you're drinking your beer, just spark some leaf like everyone else does.

Sorry, pitching dumb things into the boil has been done to death. There is nothing innovative about it anymore. It's more about saying "this beer has weed in it" than trying to pick ingredients or processes to make a better beer. Do something actually unique and I'll call it innovative. Keep doing the same gimmicky crap and ill call it out as hacky.

Not saying you should combine beer and THC. The state of Michigan told me I can't. If I wanted THC infused beer though, it would take seconds to infuse it myself. I will pass at least 10 stores that legally sell THC oil on the way home.

I guess I understand the no THC in alcoholic beer, but banning NA beer with THC makes no sense. There are a bevy of THC drinks on the market already in Michigan.

A lot of adjunct beers are not for me, but people brew them and people like them. Like I said, what some call hacky, some call innovation.

But yet you stated you drink shandies in another thread.

Do you keep a list of what items you approve of being added to beer and what items you think should not be added to beer?

So much for my THC, Kumquat Infused, unfiltered, dry hooped, barrel aged with cocca nibs and unicorn tears saison that I was working on

I stated I buy shandies for cookouts. I think when people start pitching fried chicken ,burgers and fries, and weed into beers or using vaginal or beard yeast to ferment it's time to really step back and ask why. They answer is always as a gimmick and/or Instagram likes . Its not innovation. It's desperation.

Gotcha, if you are at cook out and you like it, it is allowed.

Okay I get both sides of the argument here, but hops are very close to the weed family, can have similar properties and can smell almost identically at times, when do they ban hops from being added to beer?

Banning innocuous things is as stupid as adding vaginal fried chicken weed to beer.

I never understood why people get upset over what others are drinking or brewing. If its not for me I just quietly move on to the next thread.

While we're at it, let's stop combining beer with vanilla, chocolate, coffee, fruit, spirit barrels, salt, coconut, berries because we know they don't make beer any better...

Technically nothing is beer as the original Reinheitsgebot only allowed water, barley and hops. The role of yeast in the production of alcohol was not yet understood.

For the record, I prefer a simple beer. but appreciate innovation. Adding THC to an alcoholic beer is most likely not the best idea, but not being able to add it to a NA beer is silly to me, since so many other alcohol free THC drinks are already on the market here in Michigan
