will be bartending at a community theater event in Lawrence this weekend. job includes procuring the beers.

I've got a "beer guy" reputation to maintain, but have also been advised "nothing super hoppy". so middle of the pallet & easy to find is key

figure I'm gonna have 4-5 beer options.

    my thoughts:
    Night Shift Matisse Saison
    Lord Hobo Angelica
    Down the Road Kolsch

would like to add a dark beer ... Mayflower Porter or Riverwalk Storm Door Porter are my thoughts.

any others that fit this mold that you'd pick up?

I’d up your game a little. Go up the road to one stop at rt97 and get some TG beers.

Tap Maize a Faire (corn lager) - just canned yesterday.

+1 on the Riverwalk Storm Door - or my personal fave Ipswich Oatmeal Stout.

For an event not based on beer, I would go with some more middle of the road options:
    Jack’s Abby House Lager
    Allagash White
    Night Shift Whirlpool
    Mayflower Porter

    Notch Pils
    Riverwalk IPA
    Ipswich Oatmeal Stout
