    I don't know why people find this especially disturbing

    Newsflash, the music industry is very much a business, and you're naïve if you think that bands as big as Metallica aren't seeking out deals like these.

    Not that big of a deal. This is clearly in "I don't give a shit" territory.

    So Metallica wanted to make an extra buck...why not? What, you think the band gives a shit about craft beer?

    Can't remember the last time I went out of my way to get the king of beer. Probably when I was broke and had to use my Target card. But I wouldn't turn it down. Helluva lot better than the light options. Bud Heavy, that's what some call it. And I do love some old Metallica, don't forget how great they were.

    Sadly I take this as more of Metallica being lazy than selling out. Iron Maiden's Trooper beer is a whole lot cooler in my opinion than Bud.

    Thank goodness its limited....let's hope it ends soon.

    I'm going to blame Lars for this one.

    Does this mean Mustaine is going to pair up with MGD?

    This. I definitely like bud heavy on occasion, although I vastly prefer it out of the bottle to the can. I can see myself enjoying a 12 pack of this for a day if I happen to see it somewhere. Can't stand how terrible their music got, but the first 4 albums will probably remain great to me til death.

    10 million pints for the Iron Maiden beer?!?! Guess Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeath will be lining up soon to make a beer.

    Hanson, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, KISS, and now Metallica. Metallica has definitely taken on marketing their band as a brand, just as KISS has done and made millions of dollars. Hopefully it will be released in bottles so I can get the bottle cap as well.

    Just don't let a friend hand you one from their 24 pack. You need to purchase your own 24 pack or Lars will sue you.

    Probably not. Dave Mustaine has completely cleaned up his life, no drugs or alcohol, and born-again Christian... He's not above marketing the Megadeth name, but I don't think he would put it on any alcohol product these days.

    @SRBush1974 Note spelling...
    Megadeth is the band.
    Megadeath is a unit of one million deaths used in estimating or predicting the fatalities that would occur in a nuclear war.

    This beer is the Thing That Should Not Be! Even if this beachwood aged Sweet Amber was Trapped Under Ice for hours, I’d have to be Stone Cold Crazy before I drank One. This may be a Holier Than Thou attitude but I’d have to be Some Kind of Monster to serve this at a party. I’d much rather be drinking Whiskey in the Jar from the House that Jack Built, it is Sad But True. After a night of drinking this you would be begging someone to Hit The Lights while you Ride the Lightning on the porcelain thrown. Nothing Else Matters at that point until you Fade to Black, sleep through The Day That Never Comes and next thing you know Tuesday’s Gone!

    Dis anyone bother to read the article? This is a limited run of less than 4,000 cases made specifically for the closing of a music venue in Quebec, and is timed to coincide with their concerts there. If this was actually a "cash grab" they sure as fuck would have made more than 4,000 cases and released it in more than one city. Sure, it's a gimmicky little cross promotion, but it's not like they're forcing you to buy or drink it.

    The first four albums are some of the best music ever made. I still haven't forgiven them for that ridiculous documentary with their fucking therapists in the studio however. What the hell was that? All in all, a bud can with a Metallica logo is pretty cool.
