I got mine last year the night before on Craigslist at face value. Also, there will more than likely be people scalping day of at the door. Panic not!

In my previous experiences at WBF, I've found that Founders and Bells are typically where I dont spend any time.

I'm with yah, in the last 4 beer fests, I've only had Raspberry Wild One from Bell's, and nothing from Founders... I'll be trying to drink all of Greenbush and their 40 offerings and taking John's pants off.

Who else is a guild member? Was thinking of becoming one just to start drinking an hour before the big crowd gets there.

Very sad to have sold my only ticket. Tonto can't make it and this Lone Ranger doesn't do festivals solo.
If anyone is going to hang at Kuhnhenn instead you can find me there. :p

I hope Bells taps Barrel Aged 9K at 5 so I get to see a festival-wide Sophie's Choice

    1 empty growler + (16 tokens × 4 ounces pours) = 1 growler of Kuhnhenn BBBW.

    Simple math.

Lots of peeps are MBG members. The line at the winter Fest is really
long for the members, so plan on getting to that early if you want the full hour.

One request in case someone has a line to the organizers of this great event:

PLEASE move Bells and Founders away from one another. The long merging lines for some taps creates a huge bottleneck for everyone trying to walk around the Festival/getting to the bathrooms, etc. They don't have to be on opposite ends but right next to each other at the adjoining corners of two tents in the area where you need to walk through to get to the bathrooms is not the most optimal configuration.

Dropped by the thread to see if Marc made any dirty comments about John or Shawn; did not leave disappointed.

Argh. Of course they have Blushing Monk set to be on tap. The one Backstage release I haven't had yet...

I would've gotten a ticket to this, but I erroneously thought that my strongly implied suggestion of having this as a Christmas present ("Hey, you know what would be an awesome Christmas present? A ticket to the Winter Beer Fest.") was picked up on and so I wasn't hovering over my computer when they went on sale. Christmas Day proved my folly.

This will be the first year I'm attending. Can't wait. I'm very glad that I've got to try CBS a few times now so I don't have to waste hours waiting in line for it when I could be enjoying other beers.

    ^^^ This

Timed taps like CBS and Black Note were a crazy site last year....lines full of skanky college chicks who gabbed about their boots and their mouth breathing boyfriends. I hope they keep those booths together so I can fill up on great Michigan beers that on one knows about yet at smaller booths!

Same here. First time going and I'm glad I won't have to partake in most of the major breweries tappings because I've already had them. Looking forward to trying some Livery beers, more Greenbush and Kuhnhenn beers!!

Legitimate question: if I bring my bottles of Livery beers, can they carbonate them for me?

Sounds great. I'm hoping we start getting more breweries releasing their lists soon. We're only a few weeks away!

A buddy of mine actually gave them a little bit of shit about not bringing much to the Fall event. Heard similar excuses and then capped it off with "its not big enough" referring to the festival.
Ouch. I've been bitter at them for some time, then Backwoods and FIS came out. I've gotten over it.

    Whats confusing?
Founder brought 4 TOTAL to the Fall festival. No special tappings. No special offerings. Pretty sad from one of the state's most prominent micros.

Greenbush brought 30 and Bell's brought some monsters (BA 9000, Black Note, Oracle, BA Cherry Stout).
    Pwned Founders.
