Yup. It’s a cool place to visit, it’s a small country church house repurposed as a brewery. It’s very small batch & hence the high quality. The head brewer also pours his beers at the taproom. He is a great guy very friendly. He has been brewing for 8 years and opened the brewery in 2020.

Not sure if mentioned, but the Oktoberfest from Seedz in Union Pier, MI was fantastic on draft - still pouring as of two days ago.

Also - I did drink more of New Oberpfalz festbier than was my fair share; I apologize.

Here's a video segment about Highway 20 Brewery:

A few weeks back I drove by, but they close at 7pm on Saturdays... very tiny town. Wound up at Mud Run Beer Co. in Stockton, they had a decent Märzen. Planning to hit Highway 20 next time through.

Thanks for posting the video! A few friends and I hit up some Iowa breweries & on the way home (the next day) stopped at Highway 20 for beers then ate BBQ at Mud Run. First time for me with both Breweries. The BBQ / food at Mud Run is excellent & I was quite impressed. The Highway 20 beers blow Mud Run out of the water though.

Millstream Oktoberfest is Millstream's best beer that they brew, imho.

@CB_Michigan Curious as to what the original title was for this thread? You know, for history...

Also find it interesting how this thread had essentially fizzled by the time actual Oktoberfest started Sept 18th. Seasonal creep is real!

I strongly abide by no Oktfest’s until after Labor Day, but have started accumulating prior bc was beginning to find some sold out by early September! [face-smack] ...and don’t get me started on Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving lol. I realize I’m a dying breed.

Used to love the ‘Guys Drinking Beer’ effort in resisting the Creep with their #FallBeerFreedomDay, but even they gave up by 2017. https://www.guysdrinkingbeer.com/?s=Fall+beer+freedom+day

I still have 2021 Spaten, Hacker-Pschorr, and Hofbräu bottles to savor -- even a can of Roaring Table Fest.

FWIW -- I saw a very tall stack of H-P 12-packs at Woodman's Kenosha the other day. Can't quote the price, but it didn't make me faint, so I'll have to say it was reasonable.

I believe they had some local leftovers, too.

+1 on buying Oktoberfests when you see them. Yeah, by October, half of them are gone. Same with Christmas beers. If you haven't gotten them by Thanksgiving, you've missed out on half of them.

As to Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving, a cashier at CVS put it best - "Don't you know? It's all become one big holiday. It's now HallowThankMas."

Don’t remember, except that it involved “Okto.”

More the case that activity moved to the “official” Octoberfest tasting thread in Beer Talk.
