So I was born there, and might be coming back. Briefly visited not long ago and saw it's grown a lot from what I remember. Just trying to see how many people are around there. Don't really know anyone there anymore so would be great to meet some people around my age (29) or any cool people for that matter and do a bottle share or go to whatever good beer bars may be there.

Check out community tap. Cool store, great folks, and they've been known to host a bottle share or three.

I'm in Greenville. Haven't been to any bottle shares, but some places like Community Tap and GBX host them.

good beer stores: Community Tap (coolest), Greenville Beer Exchange, Green's (cheapest), Total Wine

lot of other great bars/stores, but those are the ones I frequent.

I've been to Greenville Beer Exchange, last time I was there. Pretty impressive little store they got. How's the social scene out there for a single guy in his late twenties that doesn't know anyone? Haha

The Southern Growl is a neat place...60 beers on tap. It's in Greer but close to my house if your ever up this way. The yard house just opened with 120 on tap..it's on Woodruff.

Downtown in the Fall on a Saturday is amazing. I'm sure you'd be able to meet some people.

How in the hell does a restaurant/bar manage and keep fresh 120 taps, even if most are sixtels? What a stupid business decision. 60 is too many. 120 is insane.

Another vote for the good folks at the Community Tap.

Well we'll just agree to disagree. I've seen the guys at Southern Growl clean, they are very concerned on keeping them clean and when a beer is around for a while, they put it on sale until it sells out. I can't say for the Yard house, but they are a chain and I'm sure they know how to maintain things clean and fresh. I appreciate the big selection available at these kind of places.

Went to the Southern Growl for the first time last night. Great place ... not sold on the location though.

What's the locals' assessment of Grape And Grains?

By far the best homebrew shop in town and Ken's beers on tap are great.

I'm 29 and love it here. I regularly host bottle shares, but don't know a ton of beer nerds here that keep decent cellars. Greenville was a blast when I was single too. I'll probably be at Barley's tomorrow night, so hit me up for a beer.

I'm also 29, and recently single and am enjoying the 'scenery' here so far. Haha, I have some really good cellar beers but they are in my storage unit back in NY right now. I'll be sure to bring them down when I can. I'll message you my cell. Let me know if you hit up Barley's and maybe I'll see you there.

For those going to Barley's what time are you heading there? I'm heading downtown to grab some food and wander around. Shoot me a message if you're out there and wanna grab a beer. Cheers
