    This LIF is officially for my win of Number45forever’s US Open Golf LIF, but also to share the wealth – I’ve had pretty good beer karma lately.

    With the recent passing of Adam Yauch, I’ve been listening to a lot of Beastie Boys during my commute to work. I generally listen to albums from cover to cover and I’m having a hard time deciding what my favorite album is, let alone favorite songs. For the purposes of this LIF I’ve been paying attention to the songs that cause me to have a tough time not saying the lyrics aloud while I ride the CTA (which I’m not so good at – you get some odd looks when you mumble “if I knew it was gonna be that kinda party, I’ma stick my dick in the mashed potatoes”). First person to guess my top five Beastie Boys songs gets some free beer – one guess per hint. Lower 48 only. Cheers.

    This is not a hint but I can't stay away.
    Paul's boutique is a fantastic album. Mindblowingly good and I listen to it a LOT.
    I'm glad I wrote down what were my selected songs before this started because every group above could easily be my top five.
    I say "cool like lemonade" so much that my wife (Girlfriend at the time) had "cool" and "like" in some game we were playing (think sharades?) and shouted out LEMONADE! Her partners thought she was dim, I wanted to marry her right there.

    I'm going to have a beer now, the only question is: bottle, 40, quart, or can? Oh wait, that should be in Eazy-E-it Forward. Cheers.

    I learned of Adam's death while at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. Initially, it crushed me...but ALL weekend every artist ended up playing tributes to tge Beasties, and playing their albums during set breaks. Turned into a celebration if his/their legacy. Amazing and life changing.
