I have a friend in Milwaukee this week for work & I was trying to find a solid bottle shop for her to go to but she is staying North of downtown (near Glendale) & it appears all the best shops are downtown or south of downtown (including Discount Liquors, Rays, Three Cellars, Timer's), a little too far for her to get to easily.

So I need a good bottle shop North of downtown please. A place who may have a few rarer gems in stock. Maybe TG, poss Black Husky, other gems. And preferably North of Hwy 41. Thanks so much!
    Cheers!

Sendik's in Whitefish Bay is close by.

Ray's is North of downtown. It's about 10 miles from Glendale. They won't have TG, but they have all the current Black Husky brews. That will be your best bet for a great bottle shop.

About 9-10 miles directly West of Glendale is a Woodman's, which has a huge beer section. That place will have the best prices on New Glarus stuff. They don't get TG or Black Husky though.

Sendik's is very close to her. What breweries can I expect to find here? Woodsman's not too far either. Ray's a bit farther. But sounds like they have alot?

Downer liquor has a solid selection and isn't too far. Same goes for ottos.

downer or the Otto's. There are several in that area. Stop at Pizza Man for a Sproose on tap.

Otto's Bayside is super close to Glendale. 5 minutes or so via I-43 or Pt Washington Rd.

Otto's Bayside vs Downers? Travel distance not being a factor

Otto's and Downer will both have Black Husky. Figured that was worth mentioning. Make sure you at least get the Pale Ale. Or just get the whole lineup since they don't really brew a single bad beer.

Otto's Bayside has a decent selection right now and it's just off the 43. Downer sometimes has a decent single bottle selection, but if you're going over there you might as well stop at Otto's on Oakland and Whole Foods as well.

The Otto's shops often have different beers at different times.

You'll find everything that Ray's has at Ottos, Whole Foods, and Downer, and you can hit all three quickly.

She's relatively close to Draft & Vessel. Nice craft beer bar, worth checking out, solid taplist with growler fills.

Thanks for heads up. Scored their Pale ale, Sparkly Eyes & 12 Dog & 2 3 Floyd's at 2 Otto's (Cask & Bayside)!
