OK folks, here we go. Post your hints and, eventually, your hauls here.
Hint #1: it's highly likely that my target lives South of me. (S)he almost definitely lives East of me as well.
And I sir will most likely be shipping east.
I also anticipate that I will be sending my target a beer or two that they haven't tried.
I can almost be certain that I'll be shipping west. So we all should take a little time and update our wants in the next few days.
My first hint is my son goes to school in a state that borders NY, and I will be visiting him in the next few weeks.
My second hint is that I also will be visiting the new brewery of a man who once brewed in that state but now brews in my state.
I'm hoping my target likes barrel aged beers as I'm picking up a couple of releases from a Barrel Society I belong to tonight. They might also need to like fresh hoppy beers.
Just talked to Lehigh, and he's gonna adjust the pairings when he gets the chance. He's a bit busy after the holiday, but he'll get to it as soon as he can.
I think I know who and where you mean! Somebody is lucky!
I'd say there is a good chance I'm shipping East and a good chance most of the beers will be from a state my state borders (as I live on the border, and shop mostly on the other side).
I sincerely doubt you are shipping east. Don't start fibbing until you have your target.
Lol, I meant "...not shipping east..."
Although the world is round, so technically, it could take the long road.
Pretty sure I won't be shipping south.
But then again I have been wrong in the past.
I was planning on visiting this brewer this past Saturday. But my wife canceled her plans to go to her parents for the day because of the storm. Thus canceling my plans. Can I get some kind of FEMA relief for that?
Well if your target is in Nova Scotia that is going to make it really easy for him to figure out.
Maybe I'll get smanson, he is east!
I think basic BIF rules prohibit the sender and target from being from the same or neighboring states.
Yeah, just kidding because I said probably east instead of probably not east earlier.
Lets do this!!
I hope my target enjoys some of WI finest Oktoberfest biers!
What if I am my own target since I didn't receive a PM?
I haven't received a PM either....
I'm your targets. And I love Oktoberfest, thanks.
Hope my target likes saisons and barrel aged stuff. Already have a few bottles tucked away!
Leaving tomorrow for a few days vacation so there may not be a lot of noise from me until next week. I'd say I might pick up a few beers while there but Cape Cod is pretty much a beer waste land.
Pairings haven't been set yet, so nobody has targets. Well, except for the 2 folks who asked for a specific target. They know who they're getting.
I could have asked for a target? Not sure I like the thought of that.
Hope I'm shipping west cuz I have some Midwest/east coast yummies! Also hoping wet hop season gets going before the deadline (AND, this is a big and, maybe abrasive will be out by then!)
You can ask, but it's not guaranteed that we can do it. In this case, I was able to satisfy the 2 requests I received. Lehigh double checks my original pairings, and he usually moves things around a bit. I'm getting a little better at it, but he's The Man at these things, so I defer to his list as final.
I like the surprise aspect of not knowing actually and if I need an extra target I'll just Ninja off a box in there direction. Easy as that.
Dammit, I want to be a Ninja!!
Target still doesn't know who sender is. In one case, a sender has a serious issue with targets porch. Sender thinks target has a substandard porch that is in serious need of upgrade. Thus, he's going to be helpful by DESTROYING targets porch for him.
To be a ninja, you just choose someone, then message me. I give you their shipping addy, and you send them a box without warning or return addy.
Thank you @beertunes but I literally mean I want to be a Ninja. . .
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Damn ninja training is tough!
So just found out a local brewery is releasing a Tequila barrel aged Barleywine soon. Wonder if anyone might like a bottle of this in there box?
I think a lot of us just like trying new and different. I would be very happy to receive something like that!
Don't we all?....
Then again. There was this one phase I went through.
