Is this why Three Weavers was actually good last time I tried them? (2019)
Very well could be
Perfect, one less person to fight to get their ipa’s
Good luck everyone
Did they sell like 6 bottles total? Lol what was that
First time on that Monkish 'commerce platform'...
Very um, interesting platform. (not in a good way, but it's Monkish so makes sense)
I got mine.
I hit pay now at 11:00:55 and still got nada oh whale happy for everyone that got theirs
I forgot to set an alarm, but my buddy said he struck out at 11:00:22
Apple Pay came in clutch for me. Loaded in cart and completed checkout in probably 15 seconds.
You mean Shopify? Like, the massive e-commerce platform that literally millions online brands use?
You could argue that an imperial stout is the ultimate haze.
Damn, I would've liked to get in on that Other Half colabo today
Same with Google Pay. In and out in 15 seconds. In, out, hello, goodbye, just another fat f**k walking out of a casino with a suitcase........
Any word if can shipping is deceased at monkish? Only reason I was able to
Acquire their beers lately up in nor cal.
This Monkish DDH Broccoli is incredible right outta the gate. No need for the traditional 1-2 week Monkish wait. Pretty sure this is better than the OH version
No doubt, all these cans from the latest release are tasty
My guess why shipping hasn’t happened in a bit:
1. They can’t even meet local demand for cans, let alone demand across the entire state.
2. It simply took them too much time and labor to pack hundreds of boxes of beer up and ship them out, when they could cut back on that extra labor cost by selling everything locally for same-day pick-up. Given how every dollar counts right now, this is probably the most likely reason.
Does Monkish have any plans to expand or increase capacity? I haven’t seen anything but don’t keep to updated on them.
They expanded about two years ago. Bought the building behind them to increase their operations. They’re as big as they can get in the business park they are at right now without moving to a new location (unless the auto shop right next to them shutters and they buy them as well).
I agree with that statement
This may very well be the hoppiest beer I've ever had from Monkish. 10lbs per barrel of Galaxy Citra Mosaic and Centennial. It's a massive assault of aromatics and flavors but it's absolutely amazing even on day one. Where this will be in a few weeks makes my mouth water. I didn't need my palate anyway tonight. Oculars, TIPA.10.3%
so good. Wish I grabbed more than a 4 pack
Amazingly I was able to score a case for delivery. Cannot wait to try it. Initial reviews are making my mouth water!
Damn...I was on the fence about that one but ended up passing because I am already pretty stocked up on beers. Would love to try it sometime, so if anyone has some extra they would be willing to part with, let me know.
Anybody ever thought that they should buy the Paddy-O's property across the street and put a few taps in and sell some beers along with a few appetizers in there.. and still have the taproom that they have now. That would be amazing and a no-brainer imo! Its small but you'd make half the paved parking lot outside seating. That place would be packed everyday
here's what it used to look like
Did Henry actually buy those properties ? I thought he was leasing them.
I’m sure he is leasing, a building like that is 99% not a condo complex but a multi-tenant industrial building.
Paddy O’s is a dump. I drove by there the other day when I was picking up my Meditatio order. I’m surprised the building hasn’t been demolished. It’s just been sitting, getting more and more dilapidated.
Ive been to Paddy’s once when it was open. We wanted to play pool and their sign outside said pool. The girl there said they had no pool and had no idea their sign said they had one.
It's been a few months since I've bought any Monkish beers (when they shifted to curbside pickup). Got a wild hair up my ass and was able to order a couple 4packs of the Monk Magic Dynasty. Opened one this evening, and it's quite good. It's a solid Monkish hazy IPA. Cheers
Same here. I got both of the releases today since I realized it had been a while since I had gotten some fresh Monkish. Cheers!
The curbside pickup is so easy. Living only 15mins away from them has finally paid off now that I don't have to stand in line for cans.
It's seriously so easy...I love the way they have everything set up and how smoothly it runs
I hope when we do return to normal that they keep the online concept and just have people pick up during that day. It’s obvious this system is working, let’s not go backwards to lines and wasting my time.
Absolutely - no reason to have the horrible line system of days past. When individuals pick up, I'm sure they'll still drop in the taproom for a pour.
I’d probably more inclined to get a pour. The last few releases I’d leave right away because either I was tired from waiting and wanted to get home or the tasting room was packed. Both of which were drawbacks from standing in a line.
They would need to keep a lot of parking spots free for the pickup transit, lest it turn into a shitshow.
