More Brewing Co. (StB) - (2018)

I should add this commentary to More. As mentioned previously in this thread, I took my daughters (ages 4 and 7) with me to visit there earlier this month. At least 2 times since then, when we've been at home trying to figure out where to go for lunch or something, my 7 year old says "More". Unfortunately, Villa Park isn't quite an easy drive from Roscoe Village! I'd really like to take advantage of her suggestion sometime though.

I'll say the reason for her love for it was the buttered noodles she had (I think we also had a soft pretzel, which is always a winner with the kids). Anywhere with buttered noodles is pretty much a winner in her book.

 

Think we get a December stout release or a BA Karma ticketed party (similar to Chaos Day at RAM)? Anyone heard any rumors?

 

I heard that Falling Colors (vanilla and coffee) is fantastic.
My tongue told me yesterday.

 

Just had my last DDH Dusty. How is this beer still so good over 2 months later? Anyone had one recently? Tons of ripe melon and mango. Very impressed with the longevity on this one.

Yeah I was told by somebody at More they would be doing some cans Mid-Dec. Wasn’t told what just that they were “good ones”.

DDH Strong Hand would be cool.

 

I made a comment about a month ago that I spoke with one of their bartenders and they told me no earlier than mid-December for next canning. Reasoning was their own canning unit had too many issues and they decided to buy a different one, and in the meantime the person that they use for mobile canning was booked up quite a bit until mid-December

I was told the manufacturer said they would fix the canning line so they shipped it back to Canada and it’s been sitting there for like 3 months. Who knows but hopefully we get some cans soon.

Just got back from lunch at More. My wife's a convert. So there's that.

The server also mentioned that there should be a can release of DDH Dusty next week. She wasn't sure of the date though.

 

More's NYE party sounds fun...special tapping at 10. May have to twist the girlfriends arm to do this.

 

Is this a ticketed party or just show up? Thanks for sharing as I hadn’t heard about this. Curious if it will be worth the Uber surcharge that night haha

I made my reservation today for New Year eve thing. Anyone else planning on going? They take reservations only for 9:00P.M.... after that it is first come first serve as far as getting a table, according to the person I spoke to on the phone. If people plan on staying there for a while (I do), it might be difficult to get a seat in the place as it nears New Years.

 

Any more word on this upcoming ddh double dusty canning run?
