I mean that's a sample size of 2 for a brewer that didn't exist a year ago. Marketing consistency might not be their highest priority yet

Fair point. They do have a marketing person though and I can see a purpose of doing it with just under a week's notice (line size management). But you're right that the next one could be different, especially if it's ticketed

Honestly, the least amount of notice, the better until the weather truly warms up.

If it means more beer for Chicago and less for WI, IN, and MI, I'm fine with that.

Stopped in tonight after work to try Mosaic Dusty, Frooted Sour Berry and Fruited Sour Tropical. I actually liked how the vanilla and lactose gave a creaminess to the new sours. Also, they are not overly sour or tart so I think these are pretty approachable and loaded with fruit. Berry was my favorite of the 3 but I would happily order all again sometime.

I understand the reference, and its very clever.

Where the hell did you get this from though?

Good to know. I was interested when I saw their post yesterday. Illuminated just did something similar recently too.

NE-Sour IPAs are, IMO, going to be the next big thing. I realize this isn't quite a NE-style IPA, but like you said, the addition of lactose makes them creamier and closer to that style. It could be the first step.

If you ever have a chance to try Hudson Valley, do not hesitate. Their NE-Style Sour IPAs are mind blowing.

Called today to see if they were taking reservations for Valentine's Day. They said they were, and that they will have a special menu. Still ironing out the details of the menu however.

I picked up a crowler of Mosaic Dusty. Really liking this beer - maybe my favorite Dusty yet. More's beers always taste a little bit grassy to me (not a bad thing - just not always a good thing), and while this still has that taste, it seems to have good balance between some dry fruit and that grassy-ness. It's a pale ale so you can't expect the flavor of a DIPA. But the trade-off is drinkability and I polished off a crowler pretty quickly despite sharing a couple lagers with my wife beforehand (she doesn't drink the hoppy beers).

As much as I enjoy the sharing, and meeting new people, getting there super early and waiting that long just sucks.

    Good luck to everybody.

I'm glad to see this being released in bottles. This is what they had at New Year's event and I thought it was quite good. Reminded me a good bit of Smore Luv.

Thanks for the ticketed release guys! Most people were cool in the B2 line, but enough acted like animals. Kudos to you for respecting the neighbors and not putting them through that anymore.
Missed B1 but B2 was so good I was sure hoping for a ticketed B3!

Really hope this goes smoothly. Just cracked Batch 1 and 2 last weekend and am craving more (no pun intended).

I like that it's ticketed, but at 2 pp, this will sell out in like a quarter of a second.

Yup, just like any other ticketed beer release that draws any attention. IMO the best option for releasing high demand beer. Having 500+ people line up 4 hours early is chaos.

I'm definitely not endorsing the line. Ticketed or lottery is better, though selfishly I would prefer a different time because work likes to block websites and my data connection usually sucks.

apparently you buy your ticket specific to your pick up window
that being said, I imagine more people will lean toward saturday / sunday?

I assume so as well, especially for people that are out-of-towners. I'm in Chicagoland but I'll be traveling on that Friday, so I will be one of those going for Saturday/Sunday tickets myself.
