the only difference in the ticket windows is that you get to pick up a day or two earlier if you select friday or saturday. the window still extends to the following weekend. so i suspect that more (see what I did there?) people would select those days.

That's a good call. So basically you just can't pick it up any earlier than your designated time but you can pick it up as late as the 25th.

I like the week long ability to pick up bottles, as I’ll be out of town that main pickup weekend. I was semi-looking forward to doing an in person More release, as I missed the first two, but this is a better overall option. I only had B2, which I thought was fantastic, so I’d love a crack at this one.

Wow, same here all around. From being busy that weekend, to wanting an in-person release, to not having b1, but loving b2.

I kind of would rather wait hours in line for it, just because I know I'll get there early enough to guarantee myself 2 bottles. However, this is FAR more efficient for the brewery as well as the surrounding businesses, I get that. But it'll be more difficult to obtain tickets this way, competing with everyone at once.

Same here. I was bummed when I first read that the release was going to be that first weekend as I will be out of town. Was relieved that the window is open until the 25th.
Now, let's hope for some ticket luck.

This is the way Jester King started doing releases when I was living down in Texas (not sure if they still do), it is absolutely the perfect way to handle releases like this.

    Well done More.

    So for this last part:

There will be a limited amount of Henna Batch 3: S'MoRE on tap for additional purchase. We will make sure that everyone who has a ticket has a chance to purchase one pour within your designated pick-up window. Any leftover Henna Batch 3: S'MoRE that we have after the windows have closed will be available to the public.

I would imagine that's referring to that day's pickup window (Fri/Sat/Sun). Or if they are actually going to keep it held back for ticket holders until the 25th at 11pm and then make it available to the public at open on the 26th, then that's even cooler of them!

    Tickets are good. However...

This three separate pickup windows essentially meaning three different ticket options is completely pointless. Adds another potential headache for no purpose. Now we have to strategize and hope we pick the day that sells out slowest. Just sell all the tickets to the first (500?) people who make it through the checkout process.

it's the latter as this matches the description text almost verbatim.

Fair enough. I guess I was thrown by them saying that any leftovers after the "windows" have closed, which to me seemed like they could be talking about the Fri/Sat/Sun dates. But all three windows also happen to close at the same exact time, so I get it now.

It's meaningless if you only consider it from the consumer buying the ticket's perspective; i.e., if you don't consider the fact that they have a restaurant that holds a max of about 200 or so people. But they do. I'm guessing there's around 500-600 allotments - if everyone came in in one day their would likely be points where they were over capacity. This way will likely get a higher percentage of the people who get the bottles to eat dinner, grab lunch, or grab an extra drink or two there. Also, pushing it across a few days probably lessens the stress on the staff.

So it gets them more business and makes it easier on the staff.

Which session sells out slowest for this will be measured in seconds. There is nothing to strategize imo. Just flip a three-sided coin and hope for the best.

You think it will take full seconds, as in plural?! That's a bit optimistic!

i just listened to a freakonomics podcast about the sale of sports and concert tickets and how bots can sometimes buy up 90% of any available inventory. they interviewed the guy that basically wrote the algorithm for the first bot. among other things, he was describing how easy it to bypass all the captchas they currently have in place.

i want to rent him for these types of bottle releases.

Having a bot sit at a computer, pushing F5 & entering captchas is neat but can he get his bot to stand in line at Binny's for Black Friday, walk into the store, say "I'll have a full allotment" to the employee, carry it all and Uber it back? Now that's an algorithm which will impress me.

Everyone have their bots fired up? Good luck to those who are trying (this does not extend to people's wives, MILMs, GILMs, co-workers, or whomever else they have enlisted).
