Ommegang had been making some classic and interesting GoT tribute beers. Leave it to Mikkeller to make the first one a hazy.

This beer is to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of GoT. Apparently, there will be a prequel "House of the Dragon" No of the same people are in the prequel.

@jts211 Oh I believe it, I've never been impressed with Mikkeller and am not surprised he'd list off 9 flavor descriptors of his beer and mistakenly list one twice. Wasn't trying to call you out.

Yep, once for the smell (aroma) and once more for the taste (flavor).

Lol. I was really into the GoT books 10 years ago. George RR Martin started working with HBO to make the show and totally abandoned his books. There was supposed to be 2 more. I haven’t even watched the show.
George RR Martin had specific quotes poking fun at authors that gave in to deals when a dump truck full of cash was dumped in their driveway. He seemed like a purist. He’s 72 and obese. Now I doubt he’s going to finish those books.
    I know I’m a nerd, but I’m annoyed.

Gimmicks are for minor league baseball teams to try and get people into the stands. If your beer can’t stand for itself without a gimmick then to hell with it.

Happens with news pieces, especially if I post them on social or include them in the newsletter. I'll quote more content, clean it up, add additional links, fix titles, etc. without altering any comments from the OP. For instance I moved your comments to the top, added more quotes, moved the link under the quotes, added a link to Mikkeller's site which you mentioned, but didn't link to, and fixed the title to match the title of the new piece (which has better readability and SEO).

I read the first book a few years ago and enjoyed it, but decided that I wouldn't go further unless he finished the series. Oh well...
