How many beers have you rated by a brewery NOT distributed in your area and which brewery is it? I'm up to 20 beers from Dogfish Head with another 4 in my fridge. I've tried more than that, but I'm going back through and rating them is helping me sort out my favorites. I'd like to rate many more by AleSmith (11), but I think I've hit nearly all of their year rounds so I'm left with seasonal selections and obscurities.

Same here. Around 20 so far from FFF but I have a pretty large backlog that I haven't entered yet. I haven't traded (expect for a few in person)in the last few years and almost every brewery eventually sends stuff to Philly. We used to get FFF as well but they stopped sending their beers years ago in order to meet demand in their local market.

90% of my reviews are of beers not in my distributed area so that may be hard to figure out! :grimacing:

Although Narragansett is in my area, I can not get everything and I have to go to a specific store 20 plus miles away to get anything from them. I'm up to 7 from them which is the most by one brewery for me. I wish I could find all their beers but can not.

    Good question....let's see
Probably Free State in Lawrence, KS since I used to live there and go back every time I'm in town.
Cascade is second, but is now available here
and unfortunately UB Group in India cuz I lived there. Ugh

    Probably only 4 total

    2 from Shorts
1 from Paw Paw Brewing Co
    1 from Columbus Brewing Co

There are so many great beers available right here where I leave that I rarely find the need to go out of my distro for beer unless it's over 12% ABV cap we have here in Ohio.

I will pick up some if I'm in an area far enough from home that I can't normally get. I don't travel much so it's only been a couple times.

6 beers from Hill Farmstead I had at beachwood last year..

The hype is real.. All of them rocked especially Abner.

Having said that I think Noble makes IPAs that are just as good if not better

Edit: I was gonna say Bells but they distribute out here in LA now

I suspect that would be Eisenbahn. 19 beers rated, but not sold in Orange County. I have made a number of trips to Brazil over the years, and that's where I taste all those Eisenbahn's.

Stone doesn't distribute to your area? It wasn't until I saw your post and checked Seekabrew that I realized they weren't nationwide. Learned something new. That's tough to think of being deprived of!

There's others where just the core beers tend to show up like Ballast Point, Westbrook, Stone, Alesmith, Port/Lost Abbey so need to travel and trade to hit the 40/50 ratings I've got for these guys

The technical winner for me is 3 Floyds (9). I've rated more beers per brewery by Cigar City, Clown Shoes, Saint Arnold and Sixpoint, all of which have never distributed to NC, but when I rated most of those, I was living in the respective area(s) where those beers were distributed. Mikkeller used to be distibuted to NC but no longer and it's the same case with those beers.

Ok, not being available in your country takes that to a whole new level. Then when you add the sheer number of different beers from those breweries I think that is mind blowing!

I have travelled the US fairly extensively which has gotten me most of those rates.

3 visits to PDX accounts for most of the Cascade, 2 visits to SD for most of the Coronado, ditto Alesmith/Ballast Point/Port-Lost Abbey. I was in SD for beer week last year, lots of one off Barrel age offerings on the go at Ballast Point, plus the Speedway Grand Prix at Alesmith.

Hill Farmstead is the one I have another to thank for. One of my tasting group and good beer buddies based in London is from MA. When he gets over to visit his folks (few times a year) he nearly always does a road trip to VT. I think he's responsible for about 39 of those 43 HF beers I've rated!
