Probably about 6 to 8 years ago I paid around $30 (might have been upwards of $40. It was at least $30 though) on a Parabola. I had never seen one at a store before and had to have it. I think at that time they were very hard to come by. They might have been out a while already for that years release.

It's a great beer, but I remember thinking it wasn't $30 great. Not many are. Haven't had one since but would like to. No idea what they are supposed to go for at a regular retail price then or these days. In this case the owner had a box behind the main counter, not out on the shelves, and I just happened to ask what it was. He was selling to his customers that regularly dropped good amounts of cash on craft beer I think. It was a very small liquor store. I didn't mind too much. Good to keep the small stores open as long as possible. He had to sell recently. Doubt the craft selection is near as good. He said he was having distributor problems for the most part, plus the economy in general.

I buy several Cascade Blueberry's every year for vacation and fresh blueberry pie. 30 bucks or so, I don't care. It's a great combo!

$60 for Rare. Never thought I'd beat the previous record of $50 for Murdad Out.

I'm just a poor boy from a poor family, but I've never spent more than $20 on a bottle. That was for regular Darkness, I believe. Fantastic beer, but I still had trouble justifying that type of money.

I only got it last year. But yeah, I was pretty impressed that the shopkeepers had held onto it for a decade. They had an impressive collection of stuff in the backroom that is probably undrinkable by now - more a museum than a cellar.

Highest overall was...I think $50 or $55 for a bottle of Prop '14 (my girlfriend wanted it; I wouldn't have coughed up that much myself). The answer would've been ~$70 if I could've found a bottle of Rare this year (although Haymarket's 22 month-aged Indignant softened that blow considerably).

$30 for an Eclipse variant. A couple of times. I may do that again, when I'm feeling expansive, but that was seriously pushing my limit on spending. When I can get 750 ml of Tilquin for $20, $30 seems a bit pricey.

I bought a Civil Disobedience 15 from Hill Farmstead this fall for $30. Then bought another one at the new taproom and drank it there, that was $45. Not sure if it was worth $45 but it was really awesome.
