$50 for Bourbon Barrel Vanilla Bean Dark Lord. Worth every penny
at a HOTD dock sale several years ago, at the old location....raffle tickets were handed out and 4 were selected for the opportunity to purchase a bottle for that amount. I won one.
These guys paid $155 for two 12oz bottles of Brewmeisters Armageddon. It doesn't sound worth it.
Westvleteren sixer for $85. Split with a buddy as his xmas gift. Worth it? Not sure yet. Drank one and honestly thought it was more boozy tasting than other quads, going to let the others sit.
Infinium for $20ish... although I never drank it. I began to hear the similarities to champagne and decided to give it away in a company 'white elephant' gift exchange. People went nuts over it.
$30 for 50/50 Eclipse Elijah Craig 12-Year. Have yet to try it.
50$ for 4 oz of 100% 1983 Dirty Horse
It's really good. Not sure if its worth $30, but it's darn good.
Myself I've paid $50 for a Murda'd Out Stout and $40 for a Stille Nacht Reserva 2010
$33 for Fruet. Dent I'm the wallet, but so good
$300 for a Utopias basket that contained the beer and two glasses.
Surprised to see there arent more ebay buyers on here saying they spent $150 or something for a shelf whale.
Probably because no one wants to find out they paid 3 times the shelf price for something. A lot of us have been in that boat before...
Yeah... still think about it every know & then. Still haven't found another..
This happens when you find about a highly coveted beer until after it's been released. But it was definitely worth it for me.
25 Euros for Firestone 14 Anniversary Ale. Haven't opened it yet.
You sir are my beer hero!

My best deal ever was 6 packs of Rush River Winter Warmer for $2.49 (an obvious screw up).

Bottle from a restaurant: $40 on Cantillon Lou Pepe Gueze
Draft pour: $8 for a 10oz pour of KBS. ugh.
maybe £8 for a bottle.
I'd guess I'd probably pay up to £15 for a 750ml bottle as that's about as much as I'd pay for a bottle of wine to take home.
I think $15 for a Smutty Rye IPA was the most I've spent on a single bottle.
$12 DFH 120min
~$125 for a bottle of this year's Utopias.

Those are huge pours for how strong that stuff is. The idea of a beer that is more potent than most liquors scares me!

$17 for a non-bomber of Older Viscosity.
Very suitable birthday beer.
Another vote for $45 for BCS Rare - I wish I had bought more than one bottle, and I'd buy it again at a higher price (though not at Ebay prices these days). I also contributed to a Utopia for a friend's 30th birthday many moons ago, and that bottle was probably >$150 because you could only get it on Ebay at the time we were buying...
$72 for a twelve pack of Trappist Rochefort 10, beer's cheap. It takes me no time at all to find wines worth more than my car. im just glad i can afford to buy really amazing beer.

$30 for FiftyFifty Eclipse Elijah Craig 12. It was good. Thirty dollars good? Different question. . . .

$27 for a 2005 Baladin Nora Sour
$24 for a HF BA Naked Evil
I was out of town during the BCS Black Friday release and couldn't find a bottle of the Cherry Rye anywhere in the city. When I saw it at my local bar (Poor Phil's) I called up a few friends to share it with me. Worth the $36 to try it, and it was as good as anything I've had. I think New Holland's Dragon's Milk is the best $4$ value in the arena though.
I paid $70 today including tax.
After shipping it was around $75 for a 750 Armand'4 Oude Geuze Lente. It was to toast my son being born and it still is one of the better geuze's I've had. That being said, I bought 2 of them (2nd one due in April) and won't be buying any more...
Eighteen something for a four pack of Breckenridge 471.
Why? I'd tried everything else that looked good.

So far $38 for a Melange 3, there are definitely others that I'd gladly pay more for if I could find them in CA.
