My First LIF...It's Only Logical.

I want to start this LIF by thanking everyone who does their best to exemplify what it means to be a Beer Advocate. When I joined this site almost 3 months ago, I never expected to find anything like this (IT Forward, Extras, Generosity, Community). In just a short time I've racked up a bunch of wins here in the LIF forum so now it is time for me to give back.

I have decided to pull bits and pieces from many of the LIFs I've participated in since joining the site and have decided that the LIFs that make you work for it are really the most fun. So this one won't be easy. There will be multiple rounds, many questions and a bunch of twists and turns so stick with it. I will be awarding points for correct answers but that's not all...there will be many opportunities for bonus points and secret triggers that will unleash new rounds, new questions, and even opportunities for people who were once ineligible to get in on the fun. I have lots of ideas but I've decided to wing it a little and see how things go. I apologize in advance if things go horribly wrong.

A few ground rules:
1) You are only eligible to participate in the first round if you have never won a LIF. I remember the excitement and the glory of that first win and I want someone else to have that Olympic Gold moment. That said...there will be multiple "rounds" so lurking is encouraged...who knows, you might just find yourself thrown into the heat of battle.

2) I know most people tend to exclude Alaska and Hawaii and I don't really want to do that...but at least for this round, I am going to have to saw lower 48 only. I'm curious how many people from those other states are reading this and cursing my very existence. If you are one of those people...please chime in. Who knows, I may try to include you in another round.

3) No illogical guesses. That doesn't mean you can't make wild guesses (especially early on), what I mean is...if I give a hint that excludes a subset of data (example...the beer you are trying to guess is not a barley wine)...then I don't recommend guessing King Henry. (If you are a victim of posting within moments of when I post the hint, I will be lenient)

The first LIF I participated in was Yamar's 1000th post LIF...so in honor of that, my first questions will be along the same lines.

What is my favorite Heavy Metal Artist and Song? (Everyone gets 2 guesses)
