Any recommended bottle shops in Nashville? Will be there for a few days first week of November.

Craft Brewed is usually my go-to. They have a wide variety of locals and you can get singles of anything in the store if you want.

Opened vanilla+coconut over the weekend. It was crazy good; didn't get any coconut, though.

If there are any recommendations for any BA bottles/cans available that I should be keeping my eyes open for when I'm there the first week of Nov I would appreciate the guidance.

keep an eye out on Bearded Iris and Southern Grist social media. They are releasing new stuff weekly, sometime BA varieties.

other breweries mentioned in this thread release just as regularly, but if fresh BA is what you are wanting keep an eye on these two.

Looking forward to making my first trip to Nashville next week. Appreciate all the suggestions in this thread, definitely planning on hitting a few spots (Southern Grist, Craft Brewed and maybe Smith & Lentz). Anyone have a favorite spot near the Ryman for a cocktail or whiskey pour? Disregard if a non-beer question is too frowned upon.

I will mention that if you like wild ales and sour beers, Barrique is worth a look....their stuff is a bit too sour for me but if it's your thing....

Depends on how *close you want to be. Within a ~15-min walk or very short Uber, a few thoughts: Gertie's Bar in the Gulch, Mother's Ruin in Germantown, Bar Sovereign just south of Convention center area downtown. Really good whiskey list at Bourbon Steak downtown, if you want to break the bank.

I routinely visit Craft Brewed but I personally would recommend prioritizing hitting any of Southern Grist, Smith & Lentz, Bearded Iris, Barrique, Living Waters, etc., unless there is something you're specifically seeking on their taplist at the time.

Thanks for the tips, I remember you from your days in Indy (think we may have even met once at Deviate). I mentioned Craft Brewed just for shopping purposes. Heard you can get singles there and I would like to bring some Nashville beer home from places I may be unable to visit. Appreciate the help.

Big Machine Brewery and Distillery. They offer small tastes that I've seen people take (way to much) advantage of. I believe Honky Tonk Brewery is their sub-contractor for their house beers.

Thanks, I walked by Big Machine yesterday morning as I was out exploring. Stuck mostly to beer while I was in Nashville. Visited Southern Grist after dinner at The Pharmacy one night. Enjoyed a coffee and then "Mille" imperial milk stout with coffee at Living Waters this morning before heading home. That's a nice late morning/afternoon spot when the weather's nice and the garage door is open. Grabbed some local singles from Craft Brewed that I'm anxious to try soon. And, yes, I did have a Homestyle one night with dinner. That seems to be the official beer of Nashville, its everywhere.

Barrique is my favorite brewery in the entire state of TN! Their wild ale’s are absolutely on-point. In fact, they are some of the most well-made sours I’ve had anywhere in the country.

Even more impressive, in my opinion, is their barrel-aged lagers. Seems like it’s hard to find a truly authentic lager that rivals some of the classics from Europe, but Barrique once again hits it out of the park. They may be the most authentically crafted American-made lagers that I’ve ever had!

Absolutely check out their taproom when you’re in the area. Highly recommend.

I will agree that their lagers are absolutely amazing.. I've had a few recently and they are out of this world!

I go through Nashville a couple times a year usually. This is firmly out of my way, but I will likely try to stop and pick something up the next time I go through. Especially if I can use it to avoid rush hour. I hate Nashville traffic more than any other city I have ever been to or lived in.

The new place? If you are going through Nashville you will be a few exits away no matter the highway you are on (40, 24, 65)

I'll have to pull it up later, but when I checked it out the first time, yes it was certainly out of my way. I'm usually going from Indiana or Ohio through to AL. Previously, I was going IN to AL, or MO to AL. Occasionally, due to trying to group trips, I have gone W to E on the N side of Nashville. I usually end up going through rather than truly 'around' Nashville.

Be sure to pull the right location. The new spot is just south of Top Golf, in the middle of all the interstates.

This place is truly amazing. All their beers are fermented in barrels the old world way. Their sours ferment with local fruit, sitting in barrels for year or more, some with open fermentation. They remind me of a young deGarde brewery, the one out of Tillemook, OR. Their German biers are outstanding as well. If you like sours or German biers, this place not to be missed when in Nashville.
