Okay, now I see. I was thinking hop extract as in CO2 extracted hop resin for bittering additions. Which I don't think anyone can do at home, which is why I was wondering what you were going to do.

Use a good Vodka that is smooth as it will come through in the final beer if you use cheap Vodka.

Yup...always use good ingredients. Shit in shit out. Have you (or anyone) experimented with this?

My club is hosting a group brew at Intuition Ale Works. I decided not to brew, but I'll be grilling burgers and dogs for the brewers.

Getting married on the 3rd so I guess that kinda takes me out of the brewing game huh? Not 100%! I brewed for the wedding and just finished bottling it tonight. So as many other weekends recently, it is a consumption day.

It is an American Pale Wheat Ale, hoppy enough for myself (lots of late boil and dry hops) but approachable for many others:
    60% Two Row
    30% White Wheat
    5% Light Munich
    5% Crystal 40

    Centennial and Mosaic Hops

    WLP051 Cali Ale V

    35ibus
    5.1% abv

    Cheers!

Re-brewing an XPA for NHC round 2, cleaning 11 kegs and racking 10.5 gallons of 11% english barleywine into a rum barrel and another 5 into a keg (Halcyon/EKG/WY1968 SMaSH in honor of my daughter's birth; hope to brew once a year until she's 21).

Brewing up some burgers. I'd say that counts. :sunglasses:

I was planning on brewing a double IPA on Saturday but came up short on DME when I went to make my starter yesterday.

So it looks Saturday will be spent taking a drive to my LHBS.... :grimacing:

Any chance you can get a pitch of yeast from a local brewery or just drop back the OG to IPA range?

Add the sugar for the DIPA at high krausen and let the IPA become its own starter for the DIPA gravity...

Going to brew a robust oatmeal porter, might add some vanilla beans and cacao nibs after primary's done.

My lady wants to brew with a couple of her friends (they're all sales reps for a brewery), so we're planning for Sunday. They have the ingredients for a raspberry pale ale. I'm hoping to get my ingredients together for what I'm calling Vanilla Latte Stout, a milk stout fermented on coffee and vanilla bean.

I might have to scratch the IPA, but since I've got some conan on the plate, I'll probably still do it. Push back my berliner if time crunches and toss in a big stout.. Doing something similar in grist to BCBS.. I've got a new bourbon barrel en route. Need to get the beer roaring and fermented..

So what does a BCBS grist entail, if I may ask?

You've got time to rack a beer, or clean a keg. Pony up! :grinning:

    Congrats, by the way!

My Homebrew Club is heading over to Two Brother Brewing. They are giving each of us 6 gallons of their Pale Ale wort and we are able to brew our own batches right inside their brewery. Planning on steeping a few pounds of malt and making it a brown ale hopped with Citra and Simcoe.
