That made me LOL - egregiously. And I’m sitting at the bar, making a spectacle of myself anyway, so now I’m probably on some NSA watch list.

    Thank you for that.

Such a nice afternoon sipper (covertly during a zoom meeting).

    Puddler's Row ESB

Thanks to @Roy_Hobbs for this one. Unknown canning date to to being smudged.
A classy amber hue. Firm sandy head fluffs up north of a finger in height but settles to a consistent 1/4 inch cap.
Decent retention with very slight lacing.
Nose is bready with hints of caramel, toffee, and gentle roast notes.
Flavor starts off slightly sweet: caramel, brown bread, toffee, and a subtle fruity note akin to raisin or dates. Some toasty notes again begins in a bread direction but hints at char, slightly earthy. A slight nuttiness comes through for a bit and surrenders to a mild, bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is really nice. Smooth, slightly lighter than medium in feel, mild carbonation, and a very balanced finish: slightly sweet at first with a gentle bitterness.
Pub time. I could hit this one all day.

According to the stories on set, better than it turned out for Stallone, who almost died from a Lundgren punch ... :grinning:

I drank mine a couple days ago, and really enjoyed it. My Bosslady was happy that I liked it, because it's one of the beer they made when she worked there.

Holy shit dude, me and my gf are flying to cbus in a couple weeks to pick up her car. I haven't been there yet, but I am definitely going now because I am addicted to pizza.

So we begin the journey that @FBarber hath bestow upon me. Pipeworks Double Vanilla Phantom Unicorn. 2022 vintage. Surprisingly great head retention. Light lacing. Aromas and flavors of big vanilla cream, fudge, dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, molasses, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, dark bread; light coffee, smoke, char, licorice, dark fruit, herbal, pine, and yeast earthiness. Stronger vanilla cake aromas, with flavors trending more towards molasses and dark fruits. Aromas not too boozy either. Light-moderate pine/herbal/char bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and very full body. Very creamy, silky, slicky, and fairly syrupy mouthfeel. Some increasing sticky hop, chalky roast, and oak tannin drying after the finish. No cloying/acrid/astringency. Light increasing warmth and mild booze lasting after the finish. 12.8% certainly is not a secret, can feel it halfway through the glass. The lactose thickness was a bit too much to the low end of syrupy, but the barrel was in good presence to provide some tannic balance to help the bitter hops. A very rich treat as to be expected of an imperial milk stout. Slow to enjoy, but satisfying in complexity. 4.12

    1. Who is your all-time favourite Montreal Expos player?
Pedro Martinez (as a long time red sox fan) watching him pitch in Boston was must watch, no one was like him!
    2. Other than basic poutine, what is your favourite -- as avid BBQer it has to be smoked meat
    3. What is your favourite Montreal brewery? Isle de Garde
In case it is needed, here is a tie breaker.

This morning's brew provided by @2beerdogs , as I am still working through the beer he sent (while saving some of @beergoot 's beer, including the mystery beer, for this weekend's official hare date).

Madewest Hazy IPA - although I originally thought it was Madewell. And it is, indeed, made well. New brewery tick.

Delightful hazy IPA with mosaic, citra, and simcoe - a pretty classic combination at this point. A bit watery for the style and ABV, and the nose is a bit muted, but it's nicely expressive on the palate.

This is truly the most amazing group of beer nerds around. @Ozzylizard has struck again. I feel like I won the BIF lottery. First, let's take a look at the latest box.
Two sweet glasses (Hoppin' Frog and Brewery Vivant), some candies that will likely last less than 24 hours once my wife sees them, a jar of hickory syrup (which I'm very intrigued by), an amazing bag from Schlenkerla, directly from Germany, oh, and yeah Bob just casually threw in four bottles of Bourbon County including three variants I've never even seen in these here parts.
Let's not forget, Bob already sent me all the beer pictured below.
