I'd have to consult the real brains of this operation (@2beerdogs ), but in my rather unprofessional opinion, collateral damage is always acceptable.

Fuck your porches. We sandwich delivery drivers have a proud history of unrestricted warfare (not to be confused with war crimes, because that only happens to losers).

I mean, you could (and you know a bit about arguing :stuck_out_tongue: ), but you'd be wrong. However, I strongly encourage anyone who wants to porch bomb my wife (PHRASING!) with beer, eeeeespecialllllly those super bitter WC IPAs she "loves." :grinning:

Saving this for a future BIF hint (when you're probably still not my target*).

*On second thought, I'm pretty sure @FBarber and I will just both be your official senders next round to really fuck with you. :grinning:

The rules went out the window last round when @Coronaeus sent tactical strikes all across Lower Canadia (the US) without being an official participant. Now it's just chaos, the eleven horsemen (we don't stop at four), dogs and cats living together ...

Time to print some labels from your USPS address book at random, slap 'em on, and just let the dice fall where they may!

I wonder if the maple runnings beefed up the body a bit. Then again, I probably have never had a true Irish Extra Stout, and that's just standard. Anyway, that's a beer I'd happily drink again.

Now I'm really curious about that other homebrew that you sent. Maybe I'll crack that tonight after work.

This is terrific. Maybe even better than Grolsch! Maybe.

    From @snaotheus .

Pours a deep pink with light head that dissipates to nothing fairly quickly. Nice effervescence and no lacing.

The aroma on this is spectacular. Mixed berries, wood, leather, fresh mud.

Taste is just as nice. Tart mixed berries, with dry woody notes. The leather is there. Maybe tobacco, but the label description may have swayed me there. The tartness is on point.

Light and bubbly. Refreshing, but substantial.
    Excellent beer.

I’m really glad to have tried this. It might be tied with Tilquin Myrtille as the best blueberry sour I’ve enjoyed. Many thanks Ryan!

Hammering away at the stash of beer that my porch was inadated with. I am trying the Bock. The beer is okay. Now with that out of the way. I am grateful for this offering. I wanted more depth and constitution to the beer. I was looking for dark fruits and more body. Head retention was terrible, it was created and demolished in the same minute. This beer does have good bones and tweaked a bit, I think this could be fabulous. Thank you Peter for another opportunity to try something from the Great White North.

I wonder if there's been any skirmishing over the word "land" between Otherlands and Floodland? Considering two PNW breweries got into it over the word "rain," I wouldn't be surprised if it's happened.

Tree House Brewing Co. -- Mega Treat
    Double India pale ale
ABV: 8.7%; pouring temperature: 44 °F; canning data: THE CREAM OF THE CROP 03/22/22
    Source: Mega- @Roguer (BIF #15)

    4.06/5 rDev -7.9%
    look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4

Beautiful looking beer; dayglow yellow-orange body, opaque; dense, creamy, rocky, white head. Fairly intense fresh fruit aroma, citrus primarily; orange and pineapple. The taste follows along with some of the smell characteristics; yeasty and oat-like; moderately intense bitterness; phenol notes. Heavy body; velvety and creamy texture; some alcohol bite and heat; mild acidity; relatively dry overall despite a bit of juiciness.

This is a very nice hazy India pale ale, perhaps showing a bit of age as I don't get a super dose of aroma or flavor, yet what is there still comes across as being fairly fresh and alluring.

    ---------------------------------------------------

...yes, this is a fine beer...and, again, as far as NEIPA / hazy IPAs go, I would love to have tasted it fresh (it looks like Andrew had it at five-days old (his overall score a 4.26)...and I would agree, probably not Tree House's best offering within this style, but still quite enjoyable...thanks, man...

Was that the one that provoked the skirmish? I think it was 3 Magnets vs...someone, but I can't remember who. IIRC, 3M sidestepped the controversy, though, by pointing out they do almost every beer as a one-off. Still, every third business name in western Washington is rain-something, so it was a pretty lame thing to get bent out of shape over.

Anyway, drinking this now after work while I cook dinner. It's not quite what I'd call a beer that re-invents the wheel, but it's a super-solid juicy DIPA that I'd hit pretty frequently if it was a regular option at one of my regular options. And it was my first from Fiddlehead!

It may have been both I just remembered two breweries were grousing at each other over the fucking word rain, which is manifestly ridiculous in Western washington. Or Western Oregon for that matter.

Well, it was 7 years ago, no wonder I didn't remember that. The surprising part of this is the fact that 3 Magnets has been around that long. I would've thought they were only 3-4 years old.
