...your 3rd beer box will be on its way shortly...I've stayed in a Holiday Inn, so my advice is to drink heavily while things work out (or don't - these are, after all, strange times that we live in) based on your recent interactions with the beauties of humanity...

I'ma stay off beer while I'm on oxycodone. Might as well give the whole body as much of a rest as I can.

If a drunken college story is worthy of naming a BIFer, a hit-and-run via Subaru with a 7-11 involved for giggles is worthy of an entire BIFer series. IJS.

    Glad you're okay, Terry.

Adrenaline is right. How the fuck were you able to walk around with a broken vertebrae? My back is so shitty I'm feeling sympathy pains from just hearing about that. When I die I want to be reincarnated as you, Terry, as you were clearly built out of stronger materials than I was. Man, on your birthday, no less.

You “booped him in the snoot”? That’s showing remarkable restraint. Of course you likely saw he was not right in the head to begin with.
    Hopefully you heal up quickly!

Quick update; now that I'm back on FB (I don't use it on my phone), I posted the story, along with his his jail entry. My friends found him quickly.Turns out, he's one of the barbers at the barber shop I go to (I'd never sat with him, I always get a female). I guess there's no more $12 Tuesdays for me!

Chances are, he won't be keeping that job, what with going to prison for intentionally running you over. Kinda fuzzy on how it's not attempted vehicular homicide, but I was no law major in college.

I don't think he's had a chance to open his LIF box from me given his recent ordeal, but I *might* have included a "wet hop" sticker that has a hop flower floating in a glass of beer...

I find I tend to rate beers higher when I'm drinking with friends at a tap room (unless the beer is reeeeally bad) because beers just go better with a group of friends chatting. I'm more likely to be critical when I'm by myself or with just one other person discussing the merits of a beer. Also @Victory_Sabre1973 , i'm just messing with you. Taste is always going to be subjective, and Moonlight just has a special place in the hearts of my drinking buddies.

Moonlight just celebrated their 30th anniversary, and only started canning beer 4 years ago. Prior to that you had to brave the Toronado (where they always have at least one Moonlight beer on draft and one on cask), or another local establishment to have their beer. I'm not even sure how long they've had their own taproom... it's pretty out of the way. The owner, Brian, is about the nicest guy ever, and after realizing his kids didn't want to run the brewery after he retired, he sold a 50% stake in the company to pre-Heineken Lagunitas to keep it going after he was done. Heineken bought Lagunitas, and just last year, Patrick Rue, formerly of the Bruery, bought out the 50% stake from Heineken. Here's hoping we'll have Reality Czeck and Death&Taxes for a long time to come.

I'm not participating in the LIF as I do not need more beer (another box just arrived from @foundersasap...pics to follow), but my immediate thought for this one without looking anything up was Witness. Could have been filmed in Lancaster County, PA, but Ohio has a big Amish population as well, so could easily have been there.

Holy FUCK man! Please share the after-story when we find out they fucking caught the dude.

    Wait a minute, doesn't @kemoarps drive a Subaru?

Edit: glad they caught him. I'm more interested now in the results. I'd love for it to go to trial, have you sitting there and staring at him .... with a sign that says, "Well, now I'm not going to stop looking at you!"

When that story started, I just assumed Terry was going to say, "So, it was my birthday, and being 97 years old ... "

He lives in the PNW. You're assigned a Subie, a Civic, a Tesla, or a jacked pickup that doesn't look like it's ever been off road.
