Tiny ninja-strike hand-delivered a couple hours ago in an ambush in front of the Sacher Wien Hotel in Vienna. I'll let @WunderLlama detail the micro-haul, which is mostly notable for how far it traveled.

 

It’s straight out of a John LeCarre spy novel…I’m in Vienna to discover the best recipe for Sacher torte …minding my own business ….walking down the street…then..this guy and his wife…jump out of the bushes ….

::::imagine a voice with a deep Seattle drawl with a hint of North Dakota thrown in :::

“ Hey comrade, drinkski this beerski…it has travelled from Japan to Seattle to Vienna and now it is hand delivered to you….guard it with your LIFE!,,,dos vadanya…I must escape down the Danube now…”

The Puppers was just because I had a little extra room. It isn’t made by Stack anymore. It’s a Labatt product now. I don’t know if you are a Letterkenny fan. The beer isn’t good. Be forewarned!

 

I've never seen it but have been meaning to watch it. I actually had the beer last night and I didn't hate it, but it had some weird ale-like qualities that I wouldn't expect for a Light Lager. Though it did get worse as I drank it unfortunately

Brewed in Japan, purchased there as well, traveled to Seattle, and then to Europe, hand delivered to me by @snaotheus outside the Sacher Hotel in Vienna after a night of brews at Ammutson …then carted to Munich, London and finally to Boston …poured into a pretentious beer glass after being opened by an Ottakringer bottle opener

Small batch brewed, hand, bottled into a 330 mL brown bottle, 5% Pilsner by the devil craft brewing Company of Tokyo.

Clear golden liquid , occasional streams of micro carbonation, one finger frothy, white foam crown , settles to a thick layer with occasional lacings

Aroma is grassy grains, malts with a spicy hop finish

Taste is grassy, grains, peppery hop spiciness on the finish

Clean, crisp, smooth , quenching dry finish

Good beer, thanks Ryan ..when can we meet in Vienna again for a chaser ?

Congrats bud! Malört is an herbal liquor and a big thing in Chicago. Sort of a right of passage for drinking in the city

Blasphemy! I actually enjoy the burn it provides haha. I also had a Malört spritz and it works surprisingly well as a cocktail
