Negative Feedback for not sending extras to rude/insulting trader?

So, Alex should just ship his box with no extras, and that's that (I'd probably still toss a few cans of Jai Alai in or something just for the shit of it). Why a negative review? The logic of this is just not hitting me right or something. Am I getting something wrong? I'm in work mode right now so I tend to miss some things when I read long discussions, but this is just lost on me.

One thing to remember is not every box is going to be like Christmas with extras. Some boxes may come loaded with 5 amazing extras beers while another only has an old IPA in it, but they in no way can be used in rating the trade. The trade is for agreed to beers only, extras have got to be left out of that review.

Here's how I see this. If we both ship on the same day, I send extras, you don't. Other than that, all trade parameters agreed upon are met, you'd get a positive rating. I'd say "Good trader, constant communication, shipped immediately, no extras." To me, that is relevant info, despite that the fact that I still gave a good rating.

However, if we both already AGREED on no extras, I probably would not mention it in my review. OR, like in this instance, one dude ALREADY GOT HIS BOX, and saw no extras, I'd just ship with no extras and not mention it there either.

Alex5 you're not being called out because you were shipping later, nobody has an issue with that. So quoting that same line over and over is not helping your argument.

You're being called out because you left negative feedback for no legitimate reason. Extras are optional. Also, it's also been legitimately so cold that your beer can freeze in transit up here which is why bauermj probably moved the dates around several times. He was trying to ensure his side of the trade reached you in good condition.

 

The war is over on this Alex, my advice is change the review by asking one of the BA mods for help, also hope they close this thread since you won't win over the hearts and minds here. Just move on and learn from the whole thing, everyone fucks up on the internet and overreacts to stuff, you are not the first

I was mad because of all the other bs. NO extras was just an icing on the cake. I was like "wtf!? after all this..i get no extras". And I over reacted and screwed up by giving him a negative feedback. I'm sorry!

Matt.....The bottle didnt' ooze out druing shipping. It's from 2012 and has sticky dust all over it. It clearly happened at the store. The other beer and another Lost Abbey bottle is just fine. There's no way you didn't notice that when you bought it.

@Alex5 you're going to get a lot of flack here warranted or not. @Beeryurt has the best advice here; edit negative feedback, send box, move on. Like he said you're not the first person to overreact on the internet and come off looking bad. I would say don't get sucked back into this thread as more people jump in and shit all over this (and they will), it will only get worse. Also, be sparing with negative feedback moving forward, only use for very egregious offensives.

Only a few places do it (think you just toss them in hot oil to fry) but they are delicious. I like them w/ marinara but ranch seems to be the norm. Alex- Whats up. Well I have all the beers & boxed everything up last night.
However, I think it would be much safer to hold off shipping for 2 days. Here in Chicago: today the low is negative 20f, high is negative 5f; tomorrow the low is negative 15f, high is 0. Wednesday and beyond it looks much warmer.
I just checked out creating your FedEx label and it says 2 business days time for shipping to you. So shipping w/ FedEx Home if I drop off on Wednesday it will be delivered Friday. There is also Saturday delivery on FedEx home for no cost in case it takes an extra day or your aren't around on Friday or something. Does shipping Wednesday work?

Over reacted. Was mad and waiting for over a week for his package, while trying to gather stuff that he wanted. Then we got into an argument on the phone and after all that...he didnt' included extras. Just an icing on the cake. I should have waited a little while before negative feedback. But I still feel like he is a bad trader, not because of no extras. But because of odd communication skills/mind games. Hard to deal with = bad trader. No?!?!
