Mercury has snuck beer past TABC before (Slumbrew). Maybe they can do it again.
That's brilliant. Plus, I want to drink it.
Good chance I'll get a taste, but probably not an entire bottle.
Brash has a lot more eyes on them than Slumbrew ever would.
Dissident should be making its way here as well.
Texas Exile should hit shelves in Mass late next week... just in time for my trip to see the family. Planning on bringing some bottles back.
Picked up some Santa Fe Imperial Coffee Stout at Spec's Arborwalk. $8.99. Solid value for a 6-pack, imho. They also had the Oktoberfest.
Uh, I dont think we are getting any
Just hit up Deschutes on twitter and they responded that Texas will be getting The Dissident, but it is tough to gauge where and when it will arrive.
Agree - the Java Stout is solid. It really suprised me the other night, especially for the price.
Wow, I hope we are. Didnt see our name on the 18 state list for distro. put out earlier this week, so I assumed we would not be seeing any, but this is great news
My buddy emailed Deschutes a while ago, and a rep said Texas probably wouldn't get any, but I have been holding out hope and wish for the love of good beer, you are correct.
Deschutes only distributes to 19 states. I seriously doubt they would ship to Montana before they shipped to TX.
Either way, I hope yall are right. I just know that what was made was an extremely small amount this year.
And I hope we see Rumpkin as well, but that # is even smaller (in # of total cases produced this year, IIRC) and I believe Avery said they doubt if it ever leaves Colo. this year
This says distributing out 1800 cases. Limited amount, so not one to wait on but I bet there will be enough to go around. Rumpkin on the other hand will likely fly off the shelf if it does get here.
I was just in San Diego a few months ago and there was plenty of last years Rumpkin sitting on the shelves. Guess I should have bought some when I had the chance....
Yeah man would've traded u for some!
In comparison... Jester King's widest limited release was a tad over 200 cases and it made it to all 3 corners of Texas (sorry El Paso ). I predict think we should see it, at least in some limited fashion with those numbers. Just speculation though.
I just want to try that delicious rummy pumpkin goodness! Wasn't aware it was that limited.
Ten Fidy has arrived at Gabriel's.
Oak Yeti in Fort Worth.
Yes, I realize its the first week of October, but I love this so much that when I saw it at HEB this morning, I HAD to have it. Soooo good.
That may be the prettiest 6-pack design ive ever seen.
Finally picked up the Mole Stout and I must say I am very impressed! Had it with some rotisserie chicken and it paired incredibly well with it.
Lots of Cinnamon at first but as it warmed up the bitter chocolate started showing up more and more. The chilies absolutely complimented the beverage as it wasn't popping out as I expected a chili beer to. Overall very impressed! Will pick up another 6 pack before its gone.
I have to say, if you live in DFW demand Sixpoint's Resin. Just insanely awesome taste (balanced and drinkable, more than any other DIPA and most IPA's). Perfect price point and packaging.
Specs on Smith had it Thursday. Have to ask for it.
Yup, picked up two last Thursday.
Specs at Westheimer and Kirkwood had 2 cases of DFH Bitches Brew.
Specs in Katy (Mason Rd) has it in the cold box.
Along with Positive Contact and BB XXIV. 1 bottle of each will be gone next Monday of, they are still there.
I found a bottle of Thomas H Handy there one time, now that was a haul!
I still have a bottle of last years.
They've had Positive Contact and BB for a while. I'll leave you a bottle of BB. I've been on the edge whether to try a bottle or not. Might have to bite.
What did that set you back?
Both were worth it.
Hopefully, they will still be there next Monday.
If you miss out BM me. I know Contact is everywhere (and frankly the better of the two). I bet I could track them down for you on spec
Will do but I must say I'm not a big fan of the Wit beer style but I'm willing to give DFH a go at pretty much anything they do.
They have it a Specs downtown. Should've picked it up when you stopped by today.
