Only had $40 to spend. And well, you know the rest.
I will tell you that Positive Contact is an acquired taste as it is on the sweeter side due to the cider. Went well with my pizza at Pizaros.
Christmas Ale - October 8th (Today)
Pumpkinator 2012 - October 15th
Bishop's Barrel #1 (Bourbon Barrel Stout) - November 2012
Bishop's Barrel #2 (Bourbon Barrel Dunkelweizen w/ Cocoa Nibs) - January 2013
Those sound good. Is it there regular stout recipe or a kicked up recipe?
No clue to be honest lol
Actually its a weizenbock.
I really want SA to pull these off.
Bottles on the Bishop's Barrel, yes?
Yes but even more limited then DR series.
All I want is that damn Pumpkinator... Though that Stout sounds mighty interesting.
Is it the same weizenbock that SA did for DR7 (beeriacs recipe)?
So long as they don't try barrel-aging Elissa, I think we're safe. I really want to like that beer (and its variants), but I just can't.
Tried a barrel aged Elissa recently, was not impressed. It ended up losing most of its flavors.
I pray no...
That beer wasn't my style, and it fell apart even in the refrigerator.
I still have 13 bottles of it.
I could go for a BA Schneider Aventinus. That would be awesome!
Nope. Totally new recipe.
Christmas ale already .... *fart*
Whats the verdict on Karbach "Fresh Nugs"
i need to try that this week.
75$, but I'm told they may have some still in stock at Spec's Midtown, with the chance of a bottle or two of George T Stagg left.
Is the bishop #1 a bottle version of the Imperial whiskey stout?
You know, one of these days I'll give up chasing beers.
Had Fresh Nugs at BRC for lunch, tasty brew. Was hoping they had Krunkin Pumpkin too, but that will be on tap there in the next few days they said.
I know it's not necessarily new beer, but Spec's Dallas got in more of these today if anyone is still looking to get some:
Souther Star Pro-Am 2012
DFH Burton Baton
Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Wild
Gabriel's got more Pro-Am today as well. It's from the most recent batch (~2-3 weeks old) and is probably the last that we'll see this year. We still have plenty of Burton Baton, Bitches Brew, Sumpin' Wild (bombers), Theobroma, Weasel Rodeo (down to 1/2 case of Whiskey), and Bonnie. And we're down to our last case of 120.
Picked up some Positive Contact, Bitches Brew and Jubelale at Spec's Holcombe. They also plenty of Weasel Rodeo.
The man himself told me and a buddy at Whole Foods it was gonna be a Dunkel...but to be fair he said Weizenbock as well... he flipped between the 2 for about 30 seconds, thinking HARD lol - Dunkel was his final answer. Not saying you're wrong at all... just saying what I heard.
Anybody know where can I still find some Krunkin Punkin and Bitches Brew?
Specs Holcombe and Katy both have Bitches Brew.
Any estimated time of arrivals here in Texas for the following beers (they usually come out this time of year):
1. Sierra Nevada Estate Homegrown Ale;
2. Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere Harvest Ale;
3. Great Divide Fresh Hop Ale;
4. Deschutes Hop Trip Pale Ale
Also, I think Deschutes has a new fresh hop IPA set to be released this fall.
Cinco Ranch Specs also has Bitches and Positive Contact
I'll try to get some Bitches Brew ASAP, thanks guys...hope I'm not too late for Krunkin Punkin
I've been so focused on Pumpkinator lol
Don't forget about Bodacious.
picked up a bottle of krunkin pumpkin at specs voss/i10 today. had 2 bottles left, had to ask.
And now you're trying to trade it in a vague FT:ISO?
Bodacious? - Educate a beer n00b good sir.
I'm ready for Pumkinator! 5 more days
I wonder how much a case of Pumpkinator bombers would run...
Probably right over $100
$10-12/ bottle. Good luck finding a store that would sell you a case.
Distribution list includes Texas. I'm excited.
