I was going to have another new beer, but I decided to match a cold night with a bomber of Fat, a big wee heavy of previous acquaintance.

I'll probably be missing next week, so happy Turkey Day everyone!

    Well Hello Again NBS...
I finally started imbibing. I've enjyed the reading so far, but I'm a little behind.
Thanks as always to our benevolent hostess, @utopiajane .
Well thanks to @nickobrewer I got to warm up with a solid Berliner Weisse Ale from Crabtree Brewing out of Colorado. Bright, crisp, slightly sour and active in the mouth. A good warmup.

Moved on to some Pipeworks offerings (thanks to @Kevinpitts):
Scarlet Betta IIPA brewed with honey and raspberry puree.
Lite straw colored, active frothy head. Smell is citrus leaning hops dancing with raspberry.
Taste is much of the same with a floral feel/taste that occupies the mid palate, and finishes with an earthy hop presence. Pretty good.
Also had Sure Bet (again). This was the main beer i was looking to trade for. But not a new one.

Finally, working on a beauty from Left Hand's Warrior IPA. Thanks to my homey @hophound who brought this from New Mexico. This was the highlight of the night.
Amber hued 1.5 finger of blessed white foam recedes with some nice, snowy lacing. Smell is a graceful melange of malt and earthy, resiny hops. It smells ike some of my fondest homebrewing experiences, boiling the wort. Glorious.
taste is more flattened out going toward earthy, resin and slight citrus. But the malt is solidly present, the backbone. Finish tapers off a little lite. Overall, I really like this one.

    Cheers NBS Friends.

    Followup on my Velvet Merkin.
It gained a little depth with warming. Slight syrupy taste, like somebody put molasses in my oatmeal.
Granted, I don't think I've ever had molasses, but I'm betting sticky/sweet is a good description.

I'll just go to the rating now.

A pretty looking star in Central California and while I'm glad I experienced it, I'm Not overlly impressed.
I'll say it's the Joe Montana of beers I've had and get back to walking dead.

Well you all it's Monday AGAIN! I hate it how it sneaks up on us like that but you guys raised the roof as usual. Thanks for posting your reviews, your pics and for sharing Sunday and your lives with all of us. You are the reason NBS is fresh, informative and fun.

"In dog beers, I've had quite a few."
