    Hey guys. Tried this for the first time yesterday a very good porter. No Eddie Fitz or founders but really good. Here is the alert

    Daveco has 12 packs for $6.99 and a case for $11.99. I got 2 cases. They had a bunch left also..

    I have noticed low abv porters can definitely lose some level of freshness after their enjoy by date. This is not something I would put in my cellar--but to each their own

    IMO, a porter or stout that has gone south is worse than an old IPA. That's where I start getting soy, teriyaki, and old shoe leather flavors. At the same time...that tends to take more than a few months. I'd imagine these Portage bottles should be fine for a while.

    Didn't past past it's prime at all. They had 2 different BBD on them both on was May something and the ones I got were June 10th

    Not to resurrect a tired thread, but they've got a couple of sixers left for $5 now, and $9-something for 12. Picked one up with an enjoy by date of June 14th 2015.
