I don't know about that my friend. Is that an (IMO) statement lol. All good either way. I personally think Coriolis, albeit a DIPA, is superior.

 

The only question now is which growler do I open tonight, FBD or Gold Stock... Talk about a hard decision.

 

Brought my wife, picked up 3 FBD and a Gold Stock. Dropped one FBD off to a beer geek friend who's lady friend is also beer geek and was flying in today from Cali to visit. The rest are for the Superbowl tomorrow.

 

IYO. Wasn't a fan of Coriolis. FBD is much better. IMO. LOL

 

I did hear an someone say that the Attempted Murder was very close to being ready.

(IMO) Your palette probably needs some maturing Ed. (IMO) Hah. No, but in all seriousness there's no right or wrong on this. To me Nelson adds a little more complexity to the brew. Like I said before tho one is an IPA and the other is a DIPA. In the end, its all personal preference. And my personal preference is much better than that of well....anyone. (IMO) of course.

 

I truly believe when it comes time for Coriolis this year that there will be a similar scene to what I witnessed the past 2 days. Not on BA, but at Nebco. Looking forward to this year at Nebco and hope I can get out of work early a shitload of days.

I actually think they went through about 6 kegs of Coriolis the day it was released last year. The difference was just that there was a larger batch of it made than FBD.

 

And just wait until they offer growlers of a full batch of Mosaic. They might have to start doing silent releases for growlers as well as bottles...

 

I'm sure it won't be the last time.

Finished my 2nd (and last) growler of FBD during the Super Bowl tonight. Good lord that is an amazing beer. I noticed people were responding in this thread about whether FBD or Coralis is the better brew. It may be subjective but I have to give the nod to FBD, and its really not even close. I had a bottle share last night, that included Heady and Piliny, and by the end the growler of FBD we included had become the biggest hit among the IPA's. I'm not going to say FBD is better than those brews, but it holds up very well among them in a tasting. Heck, I had one friend who works at a local and very large brewery who claimed that FBD just turned her into a Citra convert. That beer is legit! Can't wait for the future Mosaic release, and many, MANY more releases of FBD.
