The Taphouse in Rochester will be tapping this tomorrow. I don't think I'll seek out a bottle unless I'm totally blown away. I'm just glad to see it on tap in Roch.

I didn't end up with enough time to sample there, but I did quickly buy 3 bottles. Drank one later that evening, and I have to say I liked it. Barleywines have been hit-and-miss for me, so the style isn't my favorite. But in this case, I liked this one. Fulton seems to be brewing what I like to drink, and I'm okay with that.

Oh, and I didn't get thrown out.

Clearly, you must have done something. They were only throwing out guys who weren't doing anything.

Of course, we all know the Asian guy you're talking about.

Hey, you over there! The Ghandi of beer drinking! Enjoying yourself peacefully and contributing financially to our establishment! Get the hell out of here!

This needs to be an option.

Not to keep this wreck of a thread going, I must say the Fulton crew are rad and some of the nicest guys in the industry.

Tried this on tap last night at The Tap House in Rochester. Overall a good turnout, a lot of people were drinking it. Good reviews from the people I had talked with. I liked it a lot. I thought it was a very enjoyable beer. To me it felt like it was a little hoppy up front, but then the sweetness came through in the middle of the tasting, then finished with a nice creamy mouthfeel. This is going to cellar beautifully too. Glad I have 2 bottles to see what happens.

Also talked with Brian from Fulton as well. Very nice guy. Talked about Patience, the brewery, and craft in general. Cool guy for sure.

Had this tonight and was damn impressed. It's not your typical barleywine, that's for sure. Also randomly met a Texan BA and friends at Fulton who were in town for the outdoor hockey game. Good people they was.

I picked up a bottle of this from Cellars earlier in the week. Tried it a few nights ago -- not terribly impressed. The alcohol was very forward and the taste was almost medicinal in a way. I did not find very much sweetness in it at all. I wanted to love this beer, but sadly (at the price point) I think I'll have to pass. I may try it again on tap somewhere, and maybe if I'm feeling spendy I'll buy another bottle for the sole purpose of cellaring for a year or two, but for me I'm going to have to stick with their other brews for now.
