I just called the woodmans and they said they haven't gotten it in yet fyi
That loud screeching sound is cars making sudden U-Turns Southbound on 94.
^ haha yea, I'm pissed though because nowhere around here seems to have gotten it yet. The only place that even gave me a date said maybe by Wednesday. I cant wait that long!!!
Just picked up an entire case at New Glarus Beer Depot. We were there for a hard hat tour and sampled some as well!!
can't wait to crack this open!
Is that a testament to how good it is?
Do tell, what does it taste like?
My guy says Serendipity next week (ish). Likely Friday delivery for him. Cherry is running thin on stock here as well.
It is here and it is fantastic! No real sourness, but not as sweat as the other fruits. The question now is how MANY cases!
I agree with Pickles here. Not really sour, definitely tart though. And the fruit is way more complex than in the Belgian Red or Raspberry Tart. Both of those are very one dimensional in the fruit flavors IMO. For this one, you can taste All three but the are very much integrated.
Ohh black wax, I like, I like. I will see you soon sweetie.
Had a sample - I agree it's a good stand-in for Belgian Red and the cranberries bring a nice tartness. If you like Belgian Red, Cranbic, and/or Apple Ale this is a great fruit beer. Perfect for the Thanksgiving table.
However, given that for the same price I can pick up a 4 pack of Enigma which is almost double the volume of beer and considerably more complex, I'll be taking home the Enigma every time until supplies run out.
New Glarus posted about Serendipity on their facebook.
How does it compare to Enigma in terms of sour character?
Looking to trade for some of this guys. Don't mean to request a trade here but I'm just looking for some info. Price and availability is what I'm mostly interested in. I'll make my official request where it's more appropriate. Thanks for the help.
I didn't think it was sour, but very tart, similar to the Raspberry Tart.
Nothing like it. Some will not like this beer but, only because they are expecting a sour. This if a fruit beer and not a sour no matter what the desc says.
still no official review up, cmon guys! What color does this bad boy pour? I hope this hits my area tomorrow
Plenty of Belgian Red available at B & B Beverage in Wind Lake, WI. Serendipity landing today
Ottos on Oakland ave. should have this sometime this week. Have only about 2 cases left of Belgian Red, and a bunch of Enigma cases left even a couple Saisons.
Bought a case today and just had my first glass. Absolutely delicious. Hope it gets brewed again next year.
