Anyone spot CBus Creeper in the wild yet? Or is it being released next week??
Creeper at Savor..
Grabbed a 4-pack at Kroger on Chambers yesterday afternoon. It was the last one on the shelf, not sure if they had any more though.
Giant Eagle on Neil probably wouldn't be a bad place to check...Bodhi usually sits there weeks after it's released. I wouldn't be surprised if they got Creeper.
Saw it got checked in on untapped at ballentines in dtw if you want on draft.
NE OH should see bottle deliveries start Thurs, I'd think. It was supposed to get sent up thru our Cbus distributor on Tues
If this is true, then they're obviously receiving too much. I'm sure other places could use those cases.....
Agreed! We run out in less than 30 minutes with just one case.
I feel like a degree of fact checking may be in order. Maybe it's possible that he spotted in there on multiple occasions and assumed it was the batch? I just find it hard to believe that that location would have trouble moving it out the door ASAP.
I tried to tell people about them too, but that fell on mostly deaf ears at the time. I thought Time: The Revelator was amazing, 3MC's is amazing, Galactic Heroes is awesome. Homestead has been cranking out some really good beer.
Thought this posted earlier. May still be some left for you Cbus folks
Looks like Creeper is hitting NEO now. Hoping a can score some. Really wish I was able to go to the event last weekend.
@tcorder219 Is Creeper going to be a once-a-year release in bottles? I know the site says "specialty release".
No one reads this thread they just post...is that how this works?
Hope this helps Dan. He posted this a page or two back.
Going to the Buckeye game Saturday and staying the night. Where are some bottle shops with a big selection? Really hoping to find Creeper bottles. Would also like some Prairie stouts. My part of Ohio sucks.
^^Also Jackie O's bottles.
Anybody know if Champ Ground should be hitting distro this week? Or is it next week?
Thanks, I see now.
Fat Head's IBUsive at Pies & Pints Easton. First time in Columbus?
It's come around Cincy a few times last year and this year; I'd be mighty surprised if it's the 1st time in C-bus.
Does anyone know if the wet hopped IBUsive is done for the year? I know they obviously had it at Middleburg when it first got kegged but I never noticed it showing up at N Olmsted (unless I missed it). I've only seen regular IBUsive there.
I think they changed it to Fresh Hop Centennial instead of releasing as "wet hop Ibusive"
IIRC I was told it was all wet hopped IBUsive this time.
I thought so too but when I asked the bartender at N Olmsted she said their IBUsive was not wet hopped.
They usually have IBUsive and the Wet Hop Centennial on at FH as two different beers or at least thats been the case lately. I didn't care much for the wet hop centennial.
Looks like Stone Xocoveza and Enjoy by 10.31.16 Tangerine are hitting Cincy this week.
There was 50 cases of the xocoveza at the local grocery store in Strongsville (Cleveland area) so thinking this isn't going to be hard to find?
Awesome to hear, my favorite seasonal from any of the big brewers.
Xocoveza is definitely one of my top 2 or 3 for its niche style, far better than many of the hyped up big names out there.
I really wish we had a better way of categorizing them here--it's so hard to remember all the "Mexican hot chocolate/spiced/inspired" stouts I've had after a while.
Thanks for the kind words, heads up we will be releasing our first two barrel aged sours for beer week on 10/14 and 10/15 plus doing some bottle releases, cheers!
New bottle releases from The BottleHouse for Cleveland Beer Week
Badass Rye Imperial Rye IPA - out now
Bourbon Barrel Aged Locktender Imperial Stout - 10/16
There Is No Quad - Quadrupel - 10/20
Light Bender Black IPA - 10/21
Plus hopefully 4-5 more styles by the end of the year. Cheers!
Champion Ground in some Columbus shops today.
Ditto for East Side of Cleveland.
Anyone have any insight on bourbon county release in Ohio? I'm hearing lizardville will have a lot going on with that but haven't heard a ton of details past new and old kegs/bottles. Assuming this will ruin thanksgiving as I sit in the snow all night waiting for a 4pk...
Are they even selling bottles? Thought it would be a pour only event similar to Cantillon. Do we know what Lizardville the Bourbon County event is taking place at?
Chill peoples, no official info yet.
None of the Goose Island labels have been approved by the state yet. The ones submitted in August should be approved by EOM.
The next Bourbon County stuff may not be approved in time, as the state is running 2-3 months behind due to the influx of 12%+'s.
I will leave a teaser to say if things work out as rumored, there may be an OH exclusive.
Lizardville has Champion Ground, Broo Doo, Creeper & Bodhi now
No official info YET, but they are working on it. Only thing I've learned is how GI will allocate based on sales numbers.
Heard the Same about sales, doubt I'll be hunting this year but will be drinking my fill on draft
