Do people really have trouble finding kbs? I saw someone traded a nutsmasher for a few i'd do that all day. I know what stores historically get kbs and if you find out when one of those stores in an area is getting the shipment then it's safe to assume the others in that city will get it the same day. Make a trip and go to the 3 or 4 stores in that area and at 1 or 2 bottles a store you're more than set. Not the easiest route but not impossible. And I never have seen it on the shelves it's common knowledge you gotta ask about it. Still I ask, confirm and get one put aside and then go shopping. Usually find other fun stuff. It's always a fun day. This year snagged a thirsty dog maple porter and Rene Kriek amongst others.

I think it depends how 'Craft Savvy' one is... I did really good with KBS this year. My bro whom loves it equally didn't get any. He is unemployed and I work two jobs. I told him where to go and who to ask and blah... Some people just don't like to ask or are lazy. If some one who is half craft savvy wants it, it can be obtained fairly easily.

I only got KBS because i got on a list at one store, it was released while I was at work, and sold out everywhere before I got off.

Anyone see Lagunitas Waldo's yet? Looks like every other state got it last week, but I know our Ohio distributor is a bit slow.

People with the time and inclination to do what you described should be able to get enough with no problem. I have neither of those things, so I ended up with no bottles. Which is fine - you won't hear me complaining about new money/truck chasers/distributors messing up/whatever complaints entitled people make when they get shut out of a limited beer that they weren't willing to do the necessary work to get.

Which brings us, really, to the most difficult question to answer in all of craft beer - Which is worse, entitled whiners or new money turds? I ask this realizing that someone can be both.

GLBC Rackhouse Release on April 30th at 10 am. If you had told me this 5 years ago, I'd be very excited as I've been wanting them to bottle this for a long time. However, the last few times I've had it, it's been infected and tasted nothing like it is supposed to. I have heard this is a different batch and I'd imagine it certainly is. For whatever reason (well, probably based on the last few times I've had it), I'm not as excited for this. If it doesn't sell out right away, I'll probably head over there that afternoon and grab a few. If it's going to be a shitshow, eh, I'll live.

Agreed. Was it 2014 that they just gave up & tried to market it as a sour after ruining the barrels? I can't bring myself to trust anything they've done the past 2 years. Everything tastes like disappointment. I want to be excited over this.

(I'm aware they've changed brewers a few times, and they're a business, and I'm probably not their demographic anymore, etc... just not where I choose to spend my beer budget, which is minuscule these days.)

I don't see why anyone would get butt hurt over it. I think we learn about 'Supply and Demand' in like 6th grade. If the supply doesn't meet the demand, issues arise. Black market, bootlegging, price gouging, extra effort to attain, hoarding, etc... I am surprised that people act the way they do when they know before hand this is going to happen. It's like someone complaining that their salary isn't enough when they failed to put the effort to go to collage or work hard. As for the new money turds, you'll get that in any hobby or interest. We were all rookies once too. Until another brewer rivals KBS (the ones who do have the same supply/demand issues) on a large enough scale, we will have all the aforementioned issues. I guess the REAL question shouldn't be what is worse. Rather what is worth seeking out. For me, KBS is one. Nutsmasher because it's in my backyard and is ticketed. And likely 'Champion Ground' cuz it's just straight ridiculous. The rest, I I come across, great. If not, hope whoever gets it does something worthwhile with it.

Hearing it may not be distributed in Ohio until next week and will be very limited. More Premium suck, I'll never understand why it takes at least 2 weeks longer for them to get beer to market than literally everyone else.
